The ninth episode of Only Murders in the Building season 4 kicks off with the trio trying to decipher the events of the eighth episode. It was seemingly revealed in the eighth episode that Glen Stubbins was the protege harassing Sazz.
However, while trying to interrogate the unconscious Stubbins, the trio discovers it was actually another stuntman called Bailey, who was Sazz's protege. The search for this mysterious stuntman takes the group to a Ron Howard set and beyond.
Charles and Oliver finally find out from Howard that the man Sazz mentored was actually Marshall, the writer for the movie, who, at that moment, was at Mabel's apartment trying to fix his script.
Moreover, Mabel also found a script from Sazz's beer crate, seemingly the script for Only Murders in the Building adaptation but with the author's name as Sazz Pataki.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger without explicitly confirming that Marshall is the killer.
