Who was Conbino Crasto and what happened to him?
Conbino Crasto was born in Goa, India, in 1975. He grew up in the sunny Indian state and harbored dreams of becoming successful in life. After his marriage to Jessica Crasto and eventual fatherhood, Conbino decided to move to the United States and change his fortune.
In 2009, he moved to Texas and started doing multiple jobs there. His wife and children did not accompany him to Texas but he continued sending them his earnings every month, effectively increasing his family's livelihood back in India.
In 2015, he was working at the Exxon convenience store in Cleveland, Texas, as a store clerk. He had planned to visit India in December of that year but unfortunately changed his mind and decided to visit in March instead to celebrate his wife's birthday.
This decision cost him heavily as three armed robbers with masks entered the store while he was working his shift on the night of December 16, 2015. Investigators found Conbino Crasto dead from a bullet wound to the chest, which allegedly pierced his heart.
Later, it was revealed by another store clerk who was also on duty that Conbino had complied with the three masked men but they shot him anyway, almost in a manner that would scream "cold-blooded murder."
Who killed Conbino Crasto?
Conbino Crasto was murdered during a robbery attempt by four men, Roberto Alvarado, Michael Richardson, Frank Hernandez Jr., and a 15-year-old juvenile. Roberto Alvarado was allegedly one of the main people involved, but he did not enter the store.
Frank Hernandez was the one who murdered Crasto while the other two robbed the store. Frank later claimed that Michael had instructed him to shoot the clerk. Others claimed that Frank shot him out of the blue.
Anyhow, all three of the adult men involved in the robbery were found and arrested within five days of the incident.
Frank was ultimately sentenced to life in prison, Roberto was sent to prison for 65 years and Michael was sentenced to 28 years. As of today, all three continue to serve their sentences in different prisons.
