The case is elaborate and has gone through various developments after Holly Bobo went missing. Ahead of the episode, let us take a look at what happened to Holly Bobo.

Who is Holly Bobo and what happened to her?

Holly Bobo was a 20-year-old nursing student from Darden, Tennessee. She lived with her parents and brother, Clint, who was also the last person to see her alive. She studied at the University of Tennessee at Martin Parsons Center in Parsons and was described as a shy and sweet teenager.

On the morning of April 13, 2011, Holly Bobo allegedly woke up very early in the morning and spoke to her boyfriend, Drew Scott, at around 7.30 PM. She made another call 12 minutes later, but after this, she did not answer any calls or texts.

A neighbor reportedly heard a scream from the Bobo residence and informed Holly's mother. Clint, who was asleep, woke up when their dogs started barking. Clint reportedly saw Holly with a man dressed in camouflage. The man, whom Clint identified as Drew Scott initially, was kneeling beside Holly and the two were reportedly having a heated argument.

Their mother called Clint and informed him of the emergency, but Clint could not decipher the danger, believing that it was Drew in their house. Holly's mother tried to contact 911, but her location at the time of the call meant she could not reach Holly's county.

Clint, meanwhile, saw Holly and the man walking towards the woods. This was the last time he saw Holly alive. After Holly's mother called home again, Clint got out with a pistol and saw something alarming. He saw bloodstains belonging to Holly in the garage. The police soon arrived as Clint tried to call his sister multiple times.

Holly's phone pings showed that she was heading North, but it abruptly changed directions. It would be a long time before Holly's body would be found.

The ensuing investigations drew a lot of media coverage as the authorities scrambled for clues. Extensive search and interrogation seemingly led nowhere till September 2014, when Holly's remains were found by ginseng hunters in a wooded area of northern Decatur County, Tennessee, nearly 20 miles away from where she was last seen.
