Harpoon Hunters features four skilled captains who dominate the competitive bluefin tuna fishing industry. These harpooners are Captain Dylan Caldwell, Captain Joe Dion, Captain Tyler Macallister, and Captain Nicholas Niko Chaprales, each bringing unique expertise and dedication to their craft.

With 20 years of experience, Captain Dylan Caldwell is among New England’s most respected harpooners. His boat, the Pine Box, has earned its name as a tuna’s final resting place, securing up to 50 bluefins per season. Dylan is a year-round fisherman and a family man, training his son Emmett to carry on the tradition.

Meanwhile, Captain Joe Dion grew up as a dock rat in Green Harbor and began fishing at age 13. Despite taking two seasons off to raise awareness for his children’s rare muscular dystrophy, Joe is ready to reclaim his status as one of the fishery’s top harpooners.

Captain Tyler Macallister is a veteran fisherman with over 40 years of experience. His biological expertise and stealthy boat, the Cynthia C2, make him one of the sharpest in the field.

Captain Niko Chaprales, following his late father Bill’s legacy, is stepping into the captain’s role with determination. His powerlifting background and competitive spirit drive him to uphold his family’s tradition.
