What If...? season 3 aired its final episode on December 29, 2024, bringing an end to the three-season run of the series. The show revolved around alternate timelines and versions of the characters branching off from possible choices in the canon Marvel Multiverse.

At the end of the season, the Watcher reintroduced himself as Uatu, reclaiming his identity. He then explained that even though one character's story might come to an end, there are always endless possibilities to pursue.
During this monologue, many variants and characters were shown for brief flashes, signifying the vast and often wacky multiverse.
Variants of characters introduced in the storyline of What If...? season 3 episode 8
What If...? season 3 episode 8 climax saw the heroes confront the Eminence, the Incarnate, and the Executioner.

The divine beings started trying to erase the team of heroes from existence, which involved systematically destroying all their variants in different timelines and universes.
Audiences got glimpses of what the characters could have been in different circumstances, giving more meaning to the question "What If...?"
1) Captain Peggy Carter
Peggy Carter had many fierce and warlike variants in other universes. She was seen as the Mighty Thor, wielding Mjolnir and Asgardian power. She was also seen as Wolverine, complete with deadly claws.
A few variants of her also showcased that Peggy's variants might be skilled in subtle combat, such as Elektra the Assassin or Black Knight with an Ebony Blade.
However, a few variants also largely diverted from the norm. One of these was Peggy as a Sabretooth tiger, animalistic and ready to strike.
Meanwhile, another showed her as Deathlok, hinting that the character might even have been a cybernetic robot in the multiverse.
2) Kahhori
Kahhori was seen being stripped of many variants, too, including one of her in the X-Men, possibly because of her mutant powers.
Kahhori was also seen with the iconic Steve Rogers shield in a touching and brave frame, meaning that she might have picked up the Captain America mantle.
However, all these variants were not inspiring. One of them also showed Kahhori as the Apocalypse, one of Marvel's villains and a staunch rival of the Incredible Hulk.
3) Byrdie
Byrdie is the daughter of Howard the Duck and Darcy Lewis, introduced in What If...? season 3 itself. One of her variants was Byrdie as a duck, a nod to her father. The other versions of her were full of power in alternate universes.
These variants included Byrdie as Nova, a cosmic-powered hero with radiating energy for intergalactic threats.
Byrdie was also seen with Hawkeye's precise shooting skills and had a possible variant of Jean Grey with telepathic and telekinetic powers.
