Simon Kunz plays Detective Kohl in Missing You
As mentioned earlier, Simon Kunz plays Detective Terrence "Terry" Kohl. Simon Kunz is a British actor known for his roles in films like The Parent Trap, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Captain America: The First Avenger.
Terry Kohl is a senior detective at the police station where Kat works. Kohl and Kat's father, Clint Donovan (Sir Lenny Henry), were fast friends from their school days. He has thus adopted the role of a mentor and father figure in Kat's life since her father was brutally murdered.
In the second episode of the series, we see Simon Kunz's Kohl try to ease Kat's mind by shedding some light on Dominic Calligan (James Nesbitt). He shares a terrifying story about Calligan as a child and tries to ease Kat's mind as she seeks justice for her father's killer. He reassures her that the case against the convicted person, Monte Leburne (Marc Warren), was airtight.
This episode also sees the end of Detective Kohl's long-standing career as an investigator as the precinct says goodbye to him at his retirement party. It is here Detective Stagger (Richard Armitage) describes Kohl as a constant of their police station, who has endured against time and provided support to all the detectives and "kept them upright."
Stagger also mentions how Simon Kunz's character has tirelessly worked to pull people together and solve the murder of his best friend and the station's very own Detective Clint Donovan.
