Dune: Prophecy episode 3 recap

Episode 3 delves into the younger lives of Valya and Tula Harkonnen. Living on Lankiveil, Vorian Atreides kills their brother Griffin and Valya swears revenge on the family. However, she goes to Wallach IX to join the Sisterhood. On the other hand, Tula goes off to Caladan, the Atreides homeworld, and falls in love with Orry Atreides there. At the same time, Valya grows closer to Mother Raquella.

Tula is invited out to a family hunt by Orry and on the same night he proposes to her as well. However, the next morning, Tula reveals that she is actually a Harkonnen and they can't be together. It is then revealed that Tula has killed the entirety of his family in the name of revenge and she kills Orry too. However, she let a young Atreides kid go.

Valya, who had refused to go through the Agony, is called back home. She learns that Tula was successful in her mission and is shunned by her family for dragging her sister into this. She then runs away from the house and goes through with the Agony in order to complete her training. She is then woken up by Tula who reveals to her that she is coming to the Sisterhood with her.

Back in the present, Valya gets to know that Desmond is the key to reckoning and seeks out her uncle Evgeny for help on Salusa Secundus. Tula can then be seen trying to revive Lila secretly.
