What We Do In the Shadows season 6 is the last and final season of the comedy mockumentary series. The series finale is set to air on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 10 pm EST on FX Network. It will be released on Hulu the next day.

What We Do In the Shadows season 6 follows the lives of four vampire roommates —Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja, and Colin Robinson— as they navigate the world of Staten Island along with their former familiar and human friend, Guillermo. They are also joined by The Guide, a vampire bureaucrat acquaintance.

In the final season, Guillermo re-evaluates his life after briefly becoming a vampire. Meanwhile, the vampires are also trying to find their place and purpose in this life.

In episode 10, Guillermo has a lot of footage of his boss, Jordan, confessing to various white-collar crimes. However, what he chooses to do with this information remains to be seen. Nandor also expresses his displeasure at Jordan's lack of appreciation of Guillermo.

Guillermo and Nandor, who were separated for several episodes this season, finally reunite.

In episode 11— the series finale — fans can expect a resolution to Guillermo and Nandor's budding relationship as well as a satisfying conclusion to the stories of Laszlo, Nadja, and Colin Robinson.

The current season started airing on October 21, 2024.

What We Do In the Shadows season 6 finale release schedule

Fans of the show outside of the United States can watch it on Disney Plus. The streaming service releases the episodes on the same day as its premiere on FX in the US. However, in Canada, the episode will be released the next day, i.e., Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

Plot

The characters go on various journeys in What We Do In the Shadows season 6. Guillermo gets a job and has a pseudo-breakup with Nandor so that they can find a purpose outside of each other. He gets a job at Cannon Capital Strategies.

Guillermo records his boss' white-collar crimes but it remains to be seen whether he will share the footage with the SEC.

Meanwhile, Nandor misses his former familiar and human servant. Fortunately, five episodes later in season 6, the two reunite.

Although fans of the FX series know all too well that Nandor loves Guillermo, he rarely expresses this to him. The show is slowly building up to a resolution to their budding relationship, especially now that The Guide has rejected Nandor. She told him he loves to chase unattainable people, but once he gets them, he loses interest in them.

Nandor has worked hard to find fulfillment and meaning in the afterlife. Whether it's finding true love, a new hobby, or getting involved in pointless battles, the only time the centuries-old vampire feels content is when he is with Guillermo.

This season also explores Colin's loneliness and addresses Laszlo's emotional wounds.
