Silo season 2 is currently streaming on Apple TV+, with episodes being released on the platform weekly since its premiere on November 15, 2024. The show’s seventh and latest episode, titled The Dive, was released on December 27, 2024.

Matters escalate in the latest episode of this science fiction dystopian drama series. While the ambiguous ending of the episode leaves viewers wondering if Solo is in danger, Lukas Kyle busies himself in trying to decipher Quinn’s code. Elsewhere, Mechanical decides to send a message to the Up Top.

Thus, the plot of Silo season 2 has picked up some pace, with various narrative elements having been set into motion by the eventful seventh episode. However, not all viewers are impressed by the second season.

Silo season 2 has received some criticism from viewers who have taken to X to express their dislike for the ongoing season. The subjects of their complaints vary; while some have found fault with the pacing of the plot, others have pointed out that it provides very few answers to the pending questions broached long ago in the narrative. One viewer posted on X:

“#Silo Season 2 is absolute sh*te. What a way to ruin a great show.”

Several viewers got impatient with the reportedly slow pace of the storytelling in season 2.

“When is Juliette going to get into those tunnels that must connect the silos? Or find out Solos past/ get into the vault? Also, what’s the issue with ppl knowing about the state of outside?? 🤔🤫🤔” wrote one user.
“Agree it’s kinda of dragging,” said another user.

Several users have complained that this season has not been providing enough answers to cliffhangers and that nothing much is happening in it in general.

“I can’t with these cliffhangers pleaseeee 😩,” complained a viewer.
“Season 2 of Silo has been really bad & boring thus far. Just nothing happening,” chimed in another netizen.
“drag all the way. got bored n dropped it midst.” agreed another viewer.

Thus, it seems that season 2 of Silo is not getting positive reactions from viewers unanimously. However, with three episodes left, there is hope for improvement.

What happens in the latest episode of Silo season 2?

In episode 6, Lukas Kyle was made Bernard’s shadow following Judge Meadows’ death. In episode 7, Bernard brings Lukas to the vault and gives him the job of deciphering Salvador Quinn’s codes. Lukas makes an important breakthrough by figuring out that the signs mentioned in Quinn’s message are not letters but numbers.

Elsewhere, Mechanical takes matters into his own hands and sends a message to the Up Top. Reacting against the divide between the Up Top and the Down Deep, Mechanical circulates pamphlets that question I.T.’s integrity. Mechanical raises questions about Juliette’s whereabouts and Meadows’ death, among other things.

The episode starts with Juliette having to go down to restart the generator so the water would not rise, with help from Solo. However, at the end of the episode, Solo is nowhere to be found, and the presence of an ax and blood indicates that Solo may have fallen in some danger.
