What We Do in the Shadows season 6: Full cast list explored

What We Do in the Shadows season 6 dropped its first three episodes on FX on October 21, 2024. The first season premiered on March 27, 2019, and since then, the comedy horror mockumentary series has had a successful run on the network.

The American series is based on the 2014 New Zealand film of the same name, written by Clement and Taika Waititi. The mockumentary series revolves around a bunch of vampires on Staten Island, as they go through their daily adventures and misadventures while trying to adapt to the modern, non-vampiric world.

What We Do in the Shadows season 6 is scheduled to be the last season of the series. The full cast list has not yet been announced from official sources. However, here are some of the cast members who will definitely be seen in season 6.

1) Kayvan Novak

Kayvan Novak will return as Nandor the Relentless in What We Do in the Shadows season 6. The self-proclaimed captain of the vampire group; he is also the oldest one out of the lot. As a result, he is quite unaware of how the modern world functions. Given his alleged status as the leader of the group, he feels compelled to call frequent meetings on frivolous matters.

In the previous season’s finale, Novak restored his "human familiar" Guillermo to his human form after the latter was turned into a vampire by Derek.

Kayvan Novak is famous for co-creating and starring in the comedy series Fonejacker (2006–2008) and Facejacker (2010–2012),

2) Harvey Guillén

Harvey Guillén will reprise his role as Guillermo de la Cruz in What We Do in the Shadows season 6. A “familiar”, Guillermo’s lifelong goal was to become a vampire himself. However, there were several issues regarding the same. For instance, in season 2, it was found that he was the descendant of the famous vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing.

Further, when he managed to become a vampire in season 5, thanks to his friend Derek, he did not seem to enjoy it a lot. Nander made sure that he became human once again.

Actor Guillén has had a busy year, appearing in films like The Thundermans Return, The Garfield Movie, and The Life of Chuck.

3) Natasia Demetriou

Natasia Demetriou will return as the charismatic Nadja of Antipaxos in What We Do in the Shadows season 6. She is the one who turned Laszlo into a vampire. They married later. Often nostalgic about her human life, Nadia has had quite a few affairs in her vampire form. She is also the manager of her own vampire nightclub.

Actress Demetriou has previously featured in the comedy musical film titled Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020). She has also lent her voice to roles in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (2023), and Orion and the Dark (2024).

4) Matt Berry

Matt Berry will again take on the role of Leslie "Laszlo" Cravensworth in the series. He was “turned” by his present wife Nadja. A former adult film actor, Berry’s pans*xuality is a well-known fact. He frequently engages in s*xual acts with both Nadja and Nandor.

A veteran actor, Berry has appeared in shows like The Mighty Boosh (2004), Five Daughters (2010), Community (2015), and Fallout (2024), among others.

5) Mark Proksch

Colin Robinson, the character Mark Proksch plays in the series, is different from the other vampires as he can function in sunlight. Thus, he is the only vampire of the group who holds a regular job in an office and funds the activities of the others. An "energy vampire," he feeds on other people’s misery and frustration.

Proksch is a well-regarded comedic actor, famous for his roles in shows such as The Office (2010–2013), Modern Family (2014), Better Call Saul (2015-17), and more.

6) Kristen Schaal

Schaal will reprise her role as The Guide aka the "Floating Woman" in What We Do in the Shadows season 6. The Guide has traditionally been the victim of the vampires’ rudeness and whims

In season 5, she decided to take her revenge by trapping them inside silver cages, sparing only Guillermo. However, the vampires convinced her that they could not help being rude due to their inherent natures and they meant nothing by it.

Schaal has been a part of popular shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2004), How I Met Your Mother (2007), BoJack Horseman (2014-20), among others.

What We Do in the Shadows season 6 will run for 11 episodes, from October 21, 2024 to December 16, 2024.
