What happens in the What We Do in the Shadows season 6 premiere?
Episode 1 of season 6 opens with the vampires suddenly remembering that there was another vampire in the house once, named Jerry. He went into a super slumber many years ago, and the others forgot to wake him up at the scheduled time—1996.
This prompts the group to wake up Jerry at the earliest. However, upon waking up, Jerry is disappointed that nobody has carried out his plan to conquer new territories and bring them under the vampires’ grasp. He is especially disappointed to see that the once-feared Nandor is now a bumbling fool.
Episode 2 of What We Do in the Shadows season 6 is mostly about Laszlo's Victor Frankenstein-esque quest of infusing life into a dead body by using electricity. Laszlo fails to create a proper human being by such means. Colin, however, does it through patience.
The last episode of the premiere is about the mysterious tool called Sleep Hypnosis, after which the episode is named. Essentially, Sleep Hypnosis is an instrument through which the vampires can be manipulated since whatever is spoken to them during their sleep gets imprinted on their minds and starts driving their actions the next day.
Sleep Hypnosis causes lots of chaos and confusion in the house as each vampire tries to use it to further their own selfish goals. Guillermo falls victim to it unwittingly, resulting in a large chunk of his memory getting wiped out. However, Nandor states that he will restore his friend’s memory the next day.
