The comic book craze that Rosemary covered during her first broadcast was the newest trend for the children of the Valley. Many of the children didn't even have the money to pay for the comic books, but still wanted to buy them. This led Henry to come up with the idea that the kids could do small odd jobs for him and obtain the comics as repayment.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth struggled to get the children to focus in class for this reason. To undo the effects of the comics, she took her class on a trip to a nearby park. She hoped to encourage them to put the comic books down and interact with the beauty of nature instead.
