"America, I’m not like the others": Rob Lowe mentions in his audition to be Kamala Harris' running mate

According to the BBC's piece dated July 26, 2024, Kamala Harris will have to pick a running mate by the time Democratic Party delegates vote at a convention in Chicago in August 2024 to confirm who is on the party's ticket officially.

As per the publication, Andy Beshear, Mark Kelly, and Josh Shapiro are reportedly the people who are being vetted by a team to ascertain who might be the best running mate for Harris. The publication also suggests that Kamala Harris might pick a white man from the state to fill in the shoes of a running mate who is ideal for the nation.

While Harris has to finalize a running mate in less than two weeks, Rob Lowe gave a faux audition for the same on The Tonight Show hosted by Jimmy Fallon wherein he quoted his popular movies and stated:

“America, I’m not like the others. There’s no greater outside than the person who starred in The Outsiders. I can adapt to any situation. I can be comedic, like in Tommy Boy. Dramatic, like in St. Elmo’s Fire. Or stop a nuclear threat, like in Atomic Train."

Apart from celebrities making an appearance on Late Night shows and extending their support for Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in June 2024. During her interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Harris talked to the host about the issues of the re-election campaign like healthcare and abortion.

In a humorous bit during the interview, Kimmel and Harris talked about cannabis legalization wherein she talked about being unaware of a cannabis strain called Kamala Kush named after her. Joking about the same Jimmy Kimmel stated that it's outrageous, that Harris didn't get any samples of the strain.

Moreover, Kamala Harris also gave a statement on the upcoming elections stating:

“The reality is, let’s just fast forward again to November. I think the American people want to know that there is a president who is accountable to the people.”

In other news, Kamala Harris also made an appearance on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season finale to urge viewers to exercise their right to vote. Additionally, Harris has earned the endorsement of multiple celebrities wherein John Legend mentioned that he is excited to help Harris in any way he can.

Moreover, Lizzo took to Instagram to defend the Democratic presidential candidate against critics.
