Preview of Law and Order season 24 episode 10

As per NBC's website, the official logline of the upcoming episode reads,

"When a music mogul is found dead, Shaw and Riley clash with an undercover officer unwilling to cooperate; Price and Baxter disagree on whether the victim's reputation could help or hinder the jury's decision in the case."

The promotional video for episode 10 reveals that the upcoming case will have a conflict of interest, as the very first dialogue states, "The victim was a monster". Towards the end, Price argues that it is not justified to kill someone just because they are "vile," and this hints that the case will revolve around themes of morality and vigilante justice.

About their vision for the ongoing season, showrunner Rick Eid told NBC Insider dated January 16, 2025,

"Something we're sort of emphasizing this year is trying to learn more about some of our characters. It's still Dick Wolf's Law and Order, and there's still compelling, topical cases every week... but I think that we're trying... to dig just a little bit deeper into who our people are and see how their personal lives intersect with their professional lives."

Stay tuned for more updates on Law and Order season 24.
