FBI season 7 premiered on CBS on October 15, 2024. Since then, new episodes of the series have been released every Tuesday on a weekly basis. However, after the third episode’s release on October 29, 2024, episode 4 was not released on November 5, 2024.
This hiatus is due to the fact that the 2024 United States presidential election was held on November 5 this year. As a result, new episodes of many TV shows, FBI included, were not released on the day.
The next episode of the popular crime drama series will be released on November 12, 2024. Titled Doubted, the new episode will see some of TV's most beloved agents take on new challenges once again in their quest to deliver justice and preserve order.
FBI season 7: Release date of new episode
Episode 4 of the series will be released on CBS on November 12, 2024. Following this week’s hiatus, the show will get back to its usual weekly release schedule, with the new episode also dropping at the usual time: 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
Why the gap between episodes 3 and 4?
Ordinarily, episode 4 of FBI season 7 should have been released on November 5, 2024. However, on that day the 60th presidential election of the United States was held. The contest between Republican former president Donald Trump and the incumbent Democratic vice president Kamala Harris is of national importance and was watched by all closely.
Hence, TV networks put a hold on the new episodes of running shows scheduled to be released on the day. CBS, the network that originally airs FBI, ran the America Decides program instead to cover the election and its results.
FBI season 7 is not the only show affected by the election
As per a report published on Newsweek on November 4, 2024, new episodes of shows like Dancing With the Stars, The Real Housewives of New York City, and Married at First Sight would similarly not be airing on November 5, 2024, due to the election.
Further, popular talk shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Late Night With Seth Meyers would follow suit and refrain from airing a new episode on the election day.

What happens in FBI season 7 episode 3?
The last episode of FBI is about a series of bombings that happen in New York in quick succession. Initially, the agents think a gang war has broken out amongst the rival gangs in the vicinity. However, a deeper investigation into the matter shows that the culprit is far less conspicuous.
It turns out that the mastermind behind the bombings is Junior, the son of Fernando Perez, a real estate mogul. He designed those attacks to show his father that he was a strong and capable man who deserved his respect.
Episode 3 of FBI season 7 also shows Scola’s new partner, Chris. Further, viewers get a glimpse of Jubal’s personal life. Meanwhile, OA develops a strategic partnership with Clay, who works for the illicit organization Pyramid Security.
