When will the next episode of Fire Country season 3 release? Everything you need to know

Fire Country season 3 premiered on October 18, 2024, on CBS. The firefighter drama series has aired new episodes every Friday since its premiere, except on the Thanksgiving weekend on November 29, 2024. The next installment of the series, episode 8, is scheduled to air on Friday, December 13, 2024.

Created by Max Thieriot, Tony Phelan, and Joan Rater, Fire Country debuted its first season on October 7, 2022, and its second season on February 16, 2024. The series is produced by Val Stefoff and Barbara Friend.

The show's official synopsis, as per Rotten Tomatoes, reads:

"Bode Donovan, a young convict seeking redemption, joins an unconventional prison release firefighting program in Northern California, where he and other inmates are partnered with elite firefighters to extinguish massive, unpredictable wildfires."

The synopsis continues:

"It's a high-risk, high-reward assignment, and the heat is turned up when Bode is assigned to the program in his rural hometown, where he was once a golden all-American son until his troubles began. Five years ago, Bode burned down everything in his life, leaving town with a big secret. Now he's back, with the rap sheet of a criminal and the audacity to believe in a chance for redemption."

Fire Country season 3 episode 8 will release on December 13, 2024

Fire Country season 3's next episode, the eighth episode, is titled Promise Me. It is directed by Eagle Egilsson and written by Joe Hortua. The episode is set to premiere at 9 pm ET/ 6 pm PT on December 13, 2024, on CBS. The episode will be available to stream on December 14, 2023, on Paramount+.

A quick recap of Fire Country season 3

Fire Country season 2 ended with a cliffhanger involving Gabriela's wedding to Diego. In the season 3 premiere episode, a helicopter crash helps Gabriela walk (or run) out of her wedding. She later ends things with Diego and spirals emotionally over the next few episodes.

To make matters worse, Gabriela has to pay her share of the wedding cost and works herself to the bone when she is not drinking away her problems. She confesses her feelings for Bode in a heart-to-heart conversation, but insists that she needs to work on herself before getting into a relationship.

However, that doesn't stop Gabriela from hooking up with Bode in episode 4 before they decide to end things for good. Gabi continues her self-destructive ways and ends up hooking up with another ex-boyfriend, Jake, in season 3 episode 7.

Previously, in season 2 finale, protagonist Bode turned his life around and decided to become a firefighter. The ongoing Fire Country season 3 witnesses Bode achieve the impossible by officially becoming a Cal Fire firefighter from an inmate firefighter with Three Rock. He enrolls in the cadet training program for Edgewood Rescue Crew and successfully clears his tests.

During the training, Bode Leone meets Audrey and it doesn't take long before sparks fly between the two. Audrey, who has a similar past like Jake, also clears the training to join Ladder 42 as a Cal Fire firefighter alongside Bode. Their work and potentially romantic relationship will be explored in the upcoming episodes.

Meanwhile, Manny heads to Three Rock as an inmate, after previously having been the captain of Three Rock, in Fire Country season 3 episode 3. He and Gabriela refuse to hash out their differences and get past it.

However, Manny worries about his daughter's self-destructive behavior after she walked out of the wedding. He thinks Gabi and Bode bring out the worst in each other and their dynamic reminds him of his relationship with his ex-wife, Roberta.

In Fire Country season 3, Sharon experiences signs of perimenopause and undergoes hormonal therapy. She and Vince decide to purchase and restore the local bar, Smokey's, after it was hit during the helicopter crash. On the bar's opening night, they meet the handsome stranger named Cam Casey.

Cam arrives in Edgewater as the stage 3 cadet coach for Ladder 42. As Bode's boss, Cam appreciates his willingness to take risks and forego protocol in times of urgency, something Jake despises in Bode. Cam is the one to clear Bode in the final test and fulfill his dream of becoming a firefighter and carrying on the Leone family legacy.

Throughout the first few episodes of Fire Country season 3, Jake is displeased with Bode and Gabriela for flouting the rules while saving Gilmore during the helicopter crash. He keeps a close watch on Bode during his cadet training and comes close to throwing him out of the program for not following the rules. Jake is also away from his adopted daughter Genevieve, who is spending time in Idaho with her biological father and siblings.
