Hulu's latest true-crime docuseries covers the murder of Mary Yoder, and the involvement of Kaitlyn Conely, the on-and-off girlfriend of Adam Yoder, her youngest son, in the same. The series, titled, Little Miss Innocent: Passion. Poison. Prison., covers the ins and outs of a case that remains fascinating to true crime enthusiasts even now, especially because of the many mysteries surrounding the case.

The docuseries premiered on September 20, 2024, and like many of Hulu's original true-crime shows, it gained significant traction on the first day. The synopsis for the series reads:

"Tells the story of Kaitlyn Conley, a 31-year-old former receptionist who claims she has been wrongfully convicted of the 2015 killing of Mary Yoder, her former boss and the mother of her ex-boyfriend Adam."

Apart from Kaitlyn Conley, who remains in prison at the moment, the authorities also had their eyes on Adam Yoder, who was accused of poisoning his mother because of his greed. But the police later figured out that he was being set up by Kaitlyn Conley, who allegedly poisoned Mary Yoder to get back at Adam.

Anyhow, Adam had been a key part of the investigation from the very start, and he was always the one Kaitlyn accused of the murder. Adam was last publicly seen in Kaitlyn's trial, where he claimed that his only mistake was introducing Kaitlyn to Mary. Since the trial, he has maintained a low profile away from the public eye.

Who is Adam Yoder and what did he do?

Adam Yoder is the third child and only son of Mary and William Yoder, who were both chiropractors. They even had a practice together, which gained significant fame and business. Adam met Kaitlyn Conley back in 2011 and she later went on to work as a receptionist for Mary and William Yoder.

As per reports, Adam had a very toxic relationship with Kaitlyn, which saw numerous breakups, and some extreme measures on both ends.

After Mary Yoder passed away the medical authorities discovered that she was poisoned with a lethal amount of Colchicine. Soon after, Adam became a person of interest because the authorities received an anonymous letter that claimed Adam was the culprit in the case. It also claimed that there was Colchicine in Adam's car, which would tie him to the case.

However, all this seemed too convenient and hence the police began wondering whether he was framed. On looking into his background extensively, the police singled out Kaitlyn Conley. The receipt of the Colchicine found in Adam's car also seemed to point to her. Soon, they confirmed Kaitlyn's involvement.

However, they also extensively looked at Adam during the investigation, who seemingly had an airtight alibi as he had gone to visit his sister. Adam also had a very rough history with Kaitlyn, where the latter also accused him of assault and seemingly tried to give him supplements that made him sick.

During the trial, Adam was once again brought up, with Kaitlyn's defense pointing towards his alcohol abuse history and his abusive history with Kaitlyn.

However, in the second trial, Kaitlyn Conley was finally convicted, removing the spotlight from Adam Yoder, who claimed then that his only mistake was introducing Kaitlyn to his mother.

After the trial and the publicity surrounding the case, Adam Yoder went out of the public eye and currently leads a quiet life.
