Bam Margera, was once a name synonymous with stunts, reality TV, and skateboarding. The showman used to make short stunt videos, which eventually gave birth to the iconic Jackass franchise.

Margera had been a frequent abuser of alcohol since his early twenties. However, after the death of his friend and co-star Ryan Dunn, his condition worsened. He has been in and out of rehab multiple times. Currently, Margera is in good health, living in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with his new wife, and frequently appears on social media as a skateboard enthusiast.

In recent years, his behavior became so erratic and out of control that he had altercations with the police many times and even went to jail. His involvement with a conservatorship is the main subject of one of the episodes of the Investigation Discovery series, The Curious Case Of..., which is produced by Hot Snakes Media.

Bam Margera was put into rehab for drug abuse

One of the episodes of Investigation Discovery's latest show, The Curious Case Of..., will feature the reality TV star Bam Margera. The show will premiere on Monday, January 13, 2025, and feature various peculiar cases that are difficult to believe. The debut episode focusing on Margera would include interviews with his former Jackass co-star, Steve-O, Jeramovic, Corville, and his family.

Margera was put into a conservatorship for substance abuse treatment and underwent therapy for mental health issues. Currently, the Jackass series star is living with his wife in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and shares skateboarding-related content on Instagram.

However, his life was not as simple a few months back due to his addiction and mental health problems. The stunt performer and television personality rose to fame through his Camp Kill Yourself video series, which later turned into the slapstick comedy series, Jackass franchise. But Bam Margera was fired from the fourth film installment of the series, Jackass Forever, in 2022.

Bam Margera was celebrated for his outrageous stunts that he performed with his friends. Unfortunately, one of his closest friends, Ryan Dunn, passed away in a car accident in 2011. This loss was too much for Margera to handle, who was already a heavy drinker and struggled with sobriety. In 2009, he had been hospitalized after a four-day alcohol binge.

After Ryan's death, his alcohol abuse intensified and he self-admittedly lost control in 2012. In 2015, he entered rehab but left shortly after without finishing the program. He claimed to be sober but was again sent to rehab in 2018, after getting apprehended for driving under the influence. According to TMZ, he was seen screaming at and threatening his manager at West Side Comedy Club in New York City.

Margera's problems kept intensifying as he was removed from a flight following an altercation with an airport police officer. He got separated from his then-wife, Nikki, and was arrested for public intoxication, and sent to a mental health facility for sending threatening and disturbing messages to family members.

In May 2024, Margera married actress and model, Danielle Marie. Currently, he is a free man who often shares his struggles with addiction and mental health on social media, encouraging others to seek help to deal with these issues.
