Released between July 5, 2020, and August 2020, Showtime's documentary television miniseries Outcry chronicled the real-life story of the wrongful conviction of Greg Kelley, for the se**al assault of a 4-year-old boy.

Outcry's Greg Kelley was one of the most popular footballers for Leander High School in Cedar Park who in 2013 was chosen to represent the University of Texas at San Antonio in football. However, before his football dreams could take off, it was crushed, following a life-altering incident.

In 2012, when Kelley's parents fell ill, he moved into his friend Johnathan McCarty’s home. His stay quickly turned into a nightmare when he was accused of molesting a 4-year-old boy at the home daycare facility run by the McCartys. Another young man also came up with a similar allegation but later retracted it.

If Kelley pleaded guilty to the accusations he would have received 10 years of probation. However, Kelley maintained his innocence and as a result, was sentenced to 25 years in prison. While Kelley was still serving his sentence, it was noticed by top officials that there were certain discrepancies in the case, capable of leading to a wrongful conviction.

Following a thorough investigation into the same, Kelley was let go from prison in 2019. He currently resides with his wife Gaebri in New York City where he is working on his passion project, an entrepreneurial venture called Tomahawk Targets, which specializes in making custom axe throwing boards and corn hole sets.

In 2012 while living at his friend Johnathan McCarty's house, Greg Kelley was accused of s**ually assaulting a kid. Following an investigation, Kelley was arrested and sent to prison for 25 years. However, when there was a change of authority within the system, it was observed that there were multiple loopholes in Kelley's case.

For starters, Johnathan McCarty, Kelley's friend whose house he resided in during the incident, bore a strong resemblance to Kelley. Those involved in the case including his girlfriend Gaebri, suggested that it might be possible that the four-year-old who accused Kelley was speaking about Johnathan instead.

It was also found that the lawyer who represented Kelley in the case was a friend of the McCartys and refused to look at him as a possible suspect, suggesting foul play. Additionally, it was also found that the case was not heard properly and that the allegations made during the hearing or the accounts by the affected and non-affected parties were not strong enough to suggest Kelley's involvement in the act.

After it was found that Kelley's case did not have considerable evidence to suggest that he partook in the crime, he was let go in November 2019. Since then Kelley has been leading a free life with his wife Gaebri, residing in the Cedar Park locality of New York City where both of them are working towards their individual endeavors.

Kelley has been working on his business Tomahawk Targets and is also simultaneously enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin where he is expected to renew his football career. Gaebri on the other hand works at a dance studio. As of writing this article Kelley and Gaebri have also welcomed a daughter together. Gaebri was Kelley's high school sweetheart and supported him throughout his conviction. In the docuseries Outcry, she mentioned that they kept in touch through letters and short phone calls, which strengthened their bond over the years.

It was also revealed in Outcry that as soon as Kelley learnt of his freedom in 2017 he had proposed to Gaebri. In 2019, all allegations against Kelley were dropped and the two got married in January 2019.
