Justine Siemens’ story began when she met Benjamin Foster while both were working at a bar in Grants Pass, Oregon. The relationship started casually around October 2022, but quickly spiraled into a nightmare that culminated in January 2023.

Siemens first grew suspicious of Foster when he oddly requested a clean urine sample to pass a drug test. Concerned, she searched online and uncovered his troubling history of violence against women in Las Vegas. Siemens promptly reported this to their employer that led to his dismissal. Foster was fully aware that this was due to Siemens' actions.

Approximately a month later the situation escalated horrifically. After a work shift, Siemens returned home to find Foster hiding in her garage all day. He attacked her immediately upon her entry. Over the next three days, Foster physically restrained Siemens in her own home and subjected her to severe physical abuse that left her with multiple injuries including traumatic brain damage.

The ordeal reached a critical point on January 24, 2023. Siemens managed to contact her friend Angie Milner who promptly dialed 911 and rushed to her residence. Upon arrival Milner discovered her in a dire state: physically bound, severely beaten, and struggling for life. Foster fled the scene as law enforcement was alerted.

She was quickly transported to a hospital and placed in intensive care due to the extent of her injuries. She was in critical condition and her survival was uncertain in the immediate aftermath of her rescue. After a painstaking recovery that included regaining her ability to walk and overcoming the extensive trauma she had endured, Siemens was discharged from the hospital.

The police launched an extensive search for Foster who managed to evade arrest initially but was eventually located hiding in a crawl space under Justine Siemens’ house. When the authorities closed in, he ended his life with a self-inflicted gunshot before he could be taken into custody.

The impact of the incident on Justine Siemens was profound. Physically, she faced a long and challenging recovery that required her to relearn basic motor skills and cope with the lasting effects of brain damage. Psychologically, the trauma of her experience lingered which needed ongoing therapy and support.

Despite these challenges Justine Siemens has made major strides in rebuilding her life. She works as a bartender at Lucky's Bar in Gold Hill where she is celebrated for her spirited personality and commitment to her role.
