Current whereabouts of all the murderers from Netflix's I Am a Killer season 6

1) Candie Dominguez

Candie Dominguez, featured in I Am a Killer, season 6 episodes 1 and 2, is serving her time at the William P. Hobby Unit in Marlin, Texas. She is a native of Texas and was convicted for the murder of her cousin, José Luis Menchaca Jr., in September 2014. Dominguez was 35 years old at the time of the crime and had been in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend, Daniel Lopez.

The murder resulted from a revenge plot after a supposed fight that occurred during a drug deal when Menchaca supposedly stabbed Lopez. Dominguez tricked Menchaca into going to her San Antonio house under pretenses. When he came there, Lopez, along with another accomplice, Gabriel Moreno, brutally attacked him and banged him to death with the aid of baseball bats.

According to I Am a Killer season 6, Dominguez, in the courtroom, acknowledged that she had allowed him to be murdered without intervening. After killing Menchaca, she collaborated with others to dispose of his body parts. As per her testimony, they burned parts of the body over two days on a barbecue grill.

In 2019, Dominguez agreed to a plea deal, cooperating against her codefendants by agreeing to serve no more than 30 years for her role, as per the docuseries. That testimony was used to put Lopez away for life. Dominguez will become eligible for parole in October 2029.

2) Daniel Lopez

I Am a Killer season 6 episodes 1 and 2 throw light into Daniel Lopez, the convicted murderer who, together with his girlfriend Candie Dominguez and one more accomplice, Gabriel Moreno, committed a savage murder of José Luis Menchaca in San Antonio, Texas, on September 30, 2014. Lopez led Menchaca into their home through pretenses, where after, he beat him to death with baseball bats.

With Menchaca as the victim, Lopez and his co-perpetrators brutally dismembered the body after they killed him. They attempted to incinerate the remains on a barbecue grill as they sought to dispose of them. Lopez was convicted of murder in June 2018.

Prosecutors characterized the crime during the trial as being particularly egregious and said Lopez wanted to hear Menchaca scream while he was under attack. I Am a Killer season 6 reveals that the verdict was delivered after three hours of deliberation.
