Pablo Ibar is currently serving his life sentence at the South Bay Correctional Facility in South Bay, Florida. In 2019, a jury found Pablo Ibar guilty of the murders of Butch Casey, Sharon Anderson, and Marie Rogers.

Season one, episode 9 of The Real CSI: Miami, scheduled to air on August 28, 2024, at 10 pm EST. is going to showcase the brutal homicide that took place in Casey's Flordia residence on June 26, 1994, which later led to the arrest of Ibar. The episode is titled 'S*x, Murder, and Videotape.' The synopsis for the same reads as:

"A concerned mother calls the local police about her missing daughter, leading authorities to discover a devastating execution-style murder scene of two young women."

To date, Ibar's arrest, sentencing, and trial have been deemed unfair by many; however, he continues to serve his life sentence with no major leads or breakthroughs to date.

What did Pablo Ibar do ?

According to reports, the jury in 2019 charged Pablo Ibar with a triple homicide. Butch Casey, Sharon Anderson, and Mary Rogers were found dead in Casey’s residence in Miramar, Florida on June 26, 1994. They were beaten and then shot inhumanly at point-blank range. There were multiple gunshot wounds on their body, and an autopsy also revealed the same.

When the detectives checked the crime scene, there was blood all over. There were signs of a possible break-in. A blood footprint, a blue shirt, and CCTV footage were recovered from the gruesome crime scene.

From the evidence that was collected at the crime scene, the key to solving this murder was the CCTV recording, which showed two men entering the house via the front door and killing the homeowner and his guests. One of the killers revealed his face to the camera by taking off the shirt that covered his face a few seconds after he committed the crime.

One of the two murderers captured on camera after the killings was positively identified by the police and forensics as Pablo Ibar. Ibar briefly appeared on camera after the murder as he was leaving the area, as per reports.

DNA from a blue t-shirt that was found at the crime scene further connected Pablo Ibar to the offense. According to sources, the match between the DNA on the clothing and the offender was 353 trillion times more likely than any other match. The crime scene had several fingerprints, but none of them fit Ibar or any of the other suspects.

Based on the CCTV footage and the DNA on the t-shirt, Pablo Ibar was declared guilty and sentenced to life. Ibar was granted multiple trials before; however, in 2019, he was charged with triple murder and sentenced to life, with zero hopes of parole or re-appealing, anytime soon.

Who is Pablo Ibar?

Pablo Ibar is the son of Candido Ibar, a popular pelota player. To date, the Ibar family has not accepted the jury’s decision and believes their son to be innocent. As per reports, the accused’s father even went to Spain to raise money for this case.

With grainy CCTV footage and no fingerprints, thousands still believe that an innocent is serving a life sentence. As reported by EL PAÍS, the triple homicide can be linked to the Gambino Mafia, as CCTV footage showed that the bar owner, Mr. Casey, was threatened by mafia conmen.

Another witness and friend to Ibar, Gene Klimrmczko, also claimed that Ibar was set up, and in fact, Gene was paid a thousand dollars to link his friend to the crime. There were multiple petitions filed online, and to date, various pages on social media circulate the news of Ibar and how he was charged with three murders based on unfair grounds.
