The upcoming re-airing of Snapped on Oxygen is all set to cover the case of Pamela Moss, a woman who seemed to carry death wherever she went. From the death of her mother and ex-husband to the murder of businessman William "Doug" Coker, Pamela seemed to be involved in almost too much all the time.

This particular case of Doug Coker's murder dates back to 2012 and was the subject of Oxygen's Snapped season 29, episode 16. The episode originally aired on July 25, 2024, and is set to re-air on June 11, 2024, at 9 pm EST. The synopsis for the same reads:

"When a prominent businessman goes missing, Georgia investigators race against the clock to locate him, uncovering a killer who will go to any lengths necessary to stay hidden."

After the disappearance of 67-year-old Doug Coker, police rushed to investigate things, but only to circle back to Pamela Moss, whose previous criminal record did not make things easy for her.

She was ultimately charged with the murder of Coker and sentenced to prison for life, where she continues to remain today. Here are more details about what Pamela Moss did and how.

Who was Pamela Moss and what did she do?

Pamela Moss was born in 1957 in Rome, Georgia. She had been a bright student from a young age and got herself a degree in psychology from Atlanta’s Mercer University. She harbored immense aspirations and even started working in a psychologist’s office. She was described as a pleasant person by those who knew her. Not many "really" knew her.

However, things took a turn after the death of her stepfather. She started taking care of her mother, Barbara Frye, following this incident; however, in 1996, Barbara allegedly fell down the stairs and hit her head, nearly killing her. Though she was treated and sent back home, she died a month later, raising some eyebrows.

The police soon investigated this after some relatives alleged that Pamela Moss was after the $500,000 in life insurance from her mother's death. The police soon discovered things that led to Pamela's initial imprisonment when she pleaded for involuntary manslaughter after the police found she was giving prescription drugs to her 64-year-old mother.

She served 10 years in prison before resurfacing and getting involved with retired contractor Gene Moss. Though they seemed happily married, Gene also died under mysterious circumstances, and Pamela had him cremated very soon, claiming that he had been ill. No charges were brought against Pamela Moss this time, despite her criminal record.

Ultimately, Pamela met William "Doug" Coker, a successful businessman trying to start a non-profit organization in a bid to give back to the world. Pamela was allegedly "writing grants" at the time, which possibly brought her in contact with Coker.

Coker reportedly had a business meeting on the afternoon of March 13, 2012, which he went to attend. No one saw him alive again. After Doug's nephew reported him missing, the authorities immediately jumped into action. Most assumed a medical emergency, given Doug's age.

But the police soon traced Doug's last call to Pamela Moss, who seemingly gave a completely different statement to the police and continued to claim that she had no idea of Doug's whereabouts. Ultimately, after assessing Pamela Moss's criminal record, the authorities went to her house on the night of March 18, 2012, where they smelled something odd.

The authorities soon discovered the body of Doug Cocker under her porch, along with much evidence of a murder. According to reports, Moss was planning to ignite her house and remove all evidence of the crime, but the police intervened in time and took her in.

She tried to plead insanity in her trial but was found guilty of murder and sentenced to prison for life without the possibility of parole. She continues to serve her time and will continue to do so till the end of her life.
