Where's Wanda? is a German comedy-drama series that will premiere on Apple TV+ on October 2, 2024. The show is based on a story by Zoltan Spirandelli and stars Axel Stein, Lea Drinda, Leo Simon, Nikeata Thompson and Heike Makatsch in lead roles, while Devid Striesow, Jasmin Shakeri and Joachim Król also play prominent parts.

The show follows Dedo and Carlotta Klatt, played by Axel Stein and Heike Makatsch, as they look for their daughter Wanda, who disappeared and police weren't able to find her for months. The parents, with their tech-expert son Ole, search for their beloved daughter by surveilling their neighborhood.

The family starts discovering the secrets of their neighbors, as they aren't what they appear to be. Where's Wanda? is created by Oliver Lansley who has also written and executive produced the series with Nataly Kudiabor and Sebastian Werninger.

1) Axel Stein as Dedo

Alex Stein plays Dedo in Where's Wanda? Dedo is the father of the Klatt family whose teenage daughter disappears without a trace. Dedo and his family decide to do their search despite the consequences of going against the law.

Alex Stein was born in Wuppertal, Germany in 1982, and started working in television in his teenage years. He has worked in over five dozen films and shows, including a few English-language projects. His popular works include Hausmeister Krause, Ants in the Pants, The Vault, Not My Day and Ants in the Pants 2.

2) Lea Drinda as Wanda

Lea Drinda is playing Wanda Klatt, the main subject of the series. She's an adventurous teenager who disappears. When the police are unable to find her, the Klatt family decides to do what the police couldn't.

Lea Drinda is a young German actress known for Becoming Charlie, We Children from Bahnhof Zoo, Everybody Wants to Be Loved, and Night in Paradise. She won multiple awards for her role in Becoming Charlie, including the German Televison Award and New Faces Award Film for Best Young Actress.

3) Heike Makatsch as Carlotta

Heike Makatsch is Carlotta Klatt in Where's Wanda? the mother of the missing teenager Wanda Klatt. Carlotta plans small-time espionage missions with her husband and son, often infiltrating people's homes through different methods.

Heike Makatsch started working on television in 1993 at the age of 22. She hosted multiple shows, including her own late-night show titled Heike Makatsch Show. Later she started acting in films and television and worked on projects like Love Actually, Resident Evil, Obsession, The Book Thief, etc.

4) Nikeata Thompson as Detective Michelle Rauch

Nikeata Thompson is playing Michelle Rauch, the detective assigned the curious case of Wanda's disappearance.

Nikeata Thompson is a former sportswoman, dancer and choreographer. She was born in the UK but has been living and working in Germany for around 30 years. Lately, she has focused more on her acting career, with roles in How to Dad and Pauline before Where's Wanda?

5) Leo Simon as Ole

Leo Simon was known for the 2020 TV miniseries Totally Game before landing the role of Ole Klatt in Where's Wanda? He's the tech-savvy brother of Wanda, whose genius and technical prowess allow Dedo and Carlotta to go on their espionage mission.

This is Leo Simon's first major acting project. He also played a small part in the family drama film Christmas Staycation, which is about a dysfunctional family who decide to celebrate Christmas Eve via video call.
