SEAL Team Season 7 is halfway done, which means the Bravo Team is halfway in what would be its final season. With the new era of warfare, the elite team headed by Master Chief Jason Hayes (played by David Boreanaz) enters unfamiliar territory.

Fresh off their shore duty, Bravo embarks on new, low-impact operations with occasional face-offs against powerful rival forces all over the world. Early in Season 7, they were shipped off to Sweden and then went on missions all over South-East Asia, including Thailand, the Heron Reef in the disputed Spratlys Island and Malaysia.

Their missions may have brought the Bravo Team to different parts of the world, but SEAL Team Season 7 was mainly shot in California, while some portions of the season were filmed in Colombia.

Where was SEAL Team Season 7 filmed?

Los Angeles, California

Los Angeles has always been a key shooting location for the previous seasons of the Paramount+ show, and it's no different for Season 7. The world's entertainment capital, aka The City of Angeles, served as the primary filming location for the seventh and the last season of SEAL Team.

Plenty of the indoor scenes and other essential outdoor sequences were shot in a variety of settings all around LA. Boreanaz, the star and producer of the show, commemorated the beginning of filming by sharing a behind-the-scene photo while on location in January. In the caption, the Bravo Team's Master Chief wrote:

"The beginning of the end."

Colombia

While Los Angeles, California, provides a diverse filming location for the show, it's not the best spot to shoot some particular scenes that outdoor missions and combats of the Bravo Team call for.

For instance, LA doesn't quite capture the tropical landscapes where Bravo does some of its action-packed, thrilling missions and fights against enemies. And for SEAL Team Season 7, the cast and crew went all the way down to Colombia for filming.

The South American country, aka the "Getaway to South America," has a vast open space and is rich in lush, unspoiled outdoor settings to capture the realness of the show's rugged scenes.

David Boreanaz confirmed shooting in Colombia for Season 7 in a May 6 Instagram post, where he said it will be his "last shot as Jason Hayes of SEAL TEAM."

SEAL Team Season 7 so far and what more to expect

SEAL Team Season 7 kicked off with the sullen Team Bravo serving out their shore duty after the chaos of Jason Hayes admitting about his TBI in Season 6.

They were far from active duty until they were shipped off to Sweden for a low-impact mission, but their quiet operation turned deadly after a public bombing.

Back on US soil, it wasn't long before the Bravo Team was shipped off again to another mission. This time, they went to South East Asia to find intel on a large-scale drug syndicate. And like always, action isn't far from the elite military team, as their covert intel-gathering later turned into truck-robbing and plant-bombing missions.

All the while, the Bravo Team has a new member in Drew, a character who likes to keep to himself and has a lot to hide about his past. As the team continues in their international missions that bring them from Thailand to other parts of tropical Asia, they struggle with changing team dynamics and the new era of warfare.

While the first half of Season 7 is finished, more missions await the favorite elite military team. However, Bravo is yet to experience an even bigger shift in its dynamic as Jason leaves the team in the middle of their mission, which is the first time he has ever done so.
