Shrinking season 2 is the much-anticipated follow-up to the first season of Apple TV+'s hit show. The second season premiered on October 16, 2024, and the final episode will air on December 25, 2024.

Shrinking season 2 picks up where the first season left off and continues to explore the life of therapist Jimmy Laird (Jason Segel), who is dealing with the sudden and tragic loss of his wife. Shrinking season 2 - All filming locations explored

1) Pasadena, California

A majority of the outdoor scenes for the show were filmed in Pasadena, the most populous city of the San Gabriel Valley. Pasadena is known for its historic architecture as well as the surrounding greenery.

One notable location is the Copa Vida Coffee Shop, one of Jimmy's staple haunts. This cafe is where Jimmy took his antisocial client to enable him to practice mingling with people. Additionally, the scene where Gaby drives her new Tesla was filmed at the 177 Colorado Intersection in Pasadena.

2) Altadena, California

Altadena, located north of Pasadena and around 14 miles from downtown Los Angeles, served as the filming location for many residential scenes. Both Jimmy's Craftsman-style home and Liz and Derek's residence are located here, at 1849 N Michigan Avenue and 1859 N Michigan Avenue, respectively.

The scenes with pickleball were also filmed here at Charles S. Farnsworth Park, located at 568 Mount Curve Ave E.

A major portion of Shrinking Season 2 was filmed in LA, with many scenes filmed in various cafes and streets throughout the city. The scenes set in Alice's school were filmed at 4525 Irvine Ave. in North Hollywood.

In Shrinking Season 2, two additional notable locations in Los Angeles are Central Park and Pete's Blue Chip. Central Park, with its lush greenery, served as the backdrop for Jimmy's conversations with his friends. The scene featuring a conversation between Dr. Paul Rhoades (Harrison Ford) and Jimmy's daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell) was also filmed on a bench in Central Park.

Pete's Blue Chip is a local vintage diner that provides glimpses into Jimmy's life outside of the office.

Warner Bros. Studios, located at 4000 Warner Boulevard in Burbank, is one of California's iconic filming spots. It contains over 30 sound studios of different sizes, ranch facilities, and 4.2 million square feet of space for production offices. Several sets were created here for the show.
