Vikings: Valhalla is all set to return with its highly anticipated third season on July 11, 2024, bringing back all the adventures from 11th-century Europe, which is in the midst of a lot of big changes. The second season of the show concluded after some massive developments all across the storyline and the third one is set to bring it to its natural conclusion.

A spinoff to History Channel's Vikings, Vikings: Valhalla has been one of the most critically acclaimed Netflix shows in the past couple of years after it made its debut in 2022. It has widely been praised for its historical accuracy, production design, storyline, and acting. The third season, which consists of eight episodes, is set to uphold this lore and deliver another packed saga for fans across the world.

Being a Netflix original, the series will naturally premiere on Netflix, making it the only official source of streaming. But it can also be accessed via other means.

To find out more about the show's air time and platforms, read on.

Vikings: Valhalla will premiere exclusively on Netflix but may be available through other means

As with most Netflix originals, Vikings: Valhalla is set to make its debut exclusively on the streaming platform. This means there are no places on television where it will air.

However, though it may not be immediately available, fans who do not want to subscribe to Netflix can rent or buy the series on Vudu. For now, the first two seasons are available on digital rent and purchase. Moreover, other digital marketplaces like Apple TV and Amazon may also rent the series, but it will not be here for purchase immediately.

The series is also expected to make its way to the physical DVDs but that is also far away, as of now.

Fans can grab a Netflix subscription for as low as $6.99 for its ad-supported tier, which would be enough to catch Vikings: Valhalla Season 3.

Is there a trailer for Vikings: Valhalla Season 3?

youtube-cover

As one of the bigger releases of Netflix this year, Vikings: Valhalla Season 3 received a packed trailer earlier, which takes viewers on a wild ride across the ever-changing map of Europe in Medieval times.

The second season of the show also left fans in a very interesting place, where there was scope for many new and interesting things. The final season will focus heavily on the three heroes we have followed so far, Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter), Leif Erikson (Sam Corlett), and Freydís Eiríksdóttir (Frida Gustavsson).

Ending with the focus on the heroes was also the plan for the series as it reached its conclusion, as per co-creator Jeb Stuart. He told Tudum:

"am so grateful to have had three seasons to tell the stories of Leif, Harald, and Freydís. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to show the evolution of how three of the most famous Vikings became the icons we know today, and we have done just that,...I hope when the audience gets to see the new season, they’ll be excited by all the new heights that we’ve taken these heroes."

So, it is time for fans to get ready and stay tuned for one last ride with the incredible Netflix show, which brings the fascinating historical journey to an end.
