Yellowjackets Season 2 is the second installment of the much-loved Showtime thriller, created by Bart Nickerson and Ashley Lyle. It follows the story of a group of high school soccer team girls, who find themselves involved in a plane crash in 1996. The surviving members of the team are stranded in a dense Canadian forest for nineteen months, before being rescued.
The survivors are made to face their darkest horrors, which involve eating their counterparts to stay alive. Yellowjackets Season 2 follows the groups of survivors 25 years later, as they try to cope with their demons from their past. With the positive reception of Season 1, in December 2021 it was renewed for a second season.
Yellowjackets Season 2 was released on March 26, 2023. Season 2 has a brilliant cast including Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, Christina Ricci, Ella Purnell, Simone Kessell, Lauren Ambrose, Courtney Eaton, Kevin Alves, and Liv Hewson.

Yellowjackets Season 2 includes a total set of nine episodes. It follows the surviving members slowly moving towards the harsh winters in the dark woods. Season 2 is available to stream across multiple streaming platforms including Paramount Plus, Jio Cinema, and Hulu with a Showtime add-on.

What is the story of Yellowjackets?

With almost no food and resources, the girls are made to confront their darkest horrors. As their hunger grows, each member is pushed towards cannibalism, until they are rescued nineteen months later. Yellowjackets Season 2 begins 25 years later and keeps shifting between the past and present.
The survivors of the accident are now grown-up adults but still find it difficult to get over their past. Season 2 brings back haunting memories from their winter spent back in the woods. The characters including Taisse, Shauna, Natalie, and Misty find it increasingly difficult to overcome the sinister cult. It seeps into their current relationship, and bits of it begin to surface in their present. Yellowjackets Season 2 has a lot to answer and contributes towards developing the story for Season 3.
