FX's American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez will explore the life of controversial former NFL player Aaron Hernandez. In 2013, Hernandez was apprehended and charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd.

He was soon released but was arrested again and charged with first-degree murder of Lloyd in 2015. He was granted a life sentence after trial.

During his trial, he was also tried for a double homicide case involving the deaths of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado. He was acquitted of the homicide crime, but a few days after his acquittal, Fernandez committed suicide. The show will explore all these aspects and more of Fernandez's life.
