Yathomas Riley is a professional boxer, from Florida City, Miami-Dade County, Florida, who was charged with the attempted murder of his girlfriend Koketia King, on June 10, 2010. However, when Yathomas Riley was put under interrogation, he came up with shocking revelations.

Riley said that it was Koketia, who tried killing herself after he discovered that she was related to a tax fraud scam with the inmates of the prison, where she was working. Initially, the cops did not believe him hence he was put behind bars. However, soon the investigators discovered a bloody letter, which proved Riley's entire story to be true. It was on August 17, 2012, when Yathomas Riley was released from the prison. He eventually went on to marry his new girlfriend Lisa Amodio, but she was murdered in 2013, and Riley again became the prime suspect. On June 24, 2016, Yathomas Riley was found guilty of the murder of Lisa Amodio. He was sentenced to lifetime imprisonment without parole and is currently serving his time behind bars at Hays State Prison in Trion, Georgia.

As per an article from The Cauldron, Yathomas Riley was born in July 1982 and was the fourth child of Lorene Riley and Julius Riley, Sr. His mother was just twenty-one years of age when he was born, and already had three more siblings. However, his parents' relationship soon started to deteriorate. In 1982, by the time Yathomas was just one year old, his parents separated.

Lorene, Yathomas Riley's mother, took custody of all the children. In 1987, she got married to a man working in the Navy, and the family eventually relocated to Seattle. By the time, he was 13, he went on to meet his father Julius, and realized he got along more with him than his mother. Yathomas soon started indulging in petty crimes, and in 1998, ended up in a juvenile courtroom in Ohio.

He was sentenced to four years in prison, and was a 21-year-old young man, by the time he was released in 2003. Yathomas Riley soon embarked on a journey to become a professional boxer. He started training under the guidance of Travis Stocking in San Diego. As per The Cauldron article, Yathomas went on to win National PAL and Golden Gloves tournaments.

It was in August 2007, when he received an invitation to the U.S. Olympic Trials to be the representative athlete in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Although he was not selected, the next year, he signed a contract with boxing promoter Joe De Guardia, at Star Boxing headquarters in Bronx County, New York City.

While Yathomas was climbing ladders in his boxing career, he eventually started dating a state correctional officer from Miami named Koketia King. The couple eventually had a child in September 2006, named Yaheim. As Yathomas started growing in his professional boxing career, the couple started seeing each other less.

He met Lisa Amodio, a medical practitioner while training with Stocking in Bronx. This dented his relationship with Koketia. Moreover, this is when he discovered Koketia's involvement in a tax fraud scheme with inmates. He flew back to Miami, to unveil more details about Koketia's crimes.

Yathomas and Koketia got into a heated argument on June 10, 2010, resulting in a shooting. As per a Miami New Times on August 16, 2012, publication, Riley informed the authorities that Koketia tried to kill herself, right after he provided a letter, which proved her indulging in a tax fraud with a prison inmate.

Yathomas was still behind bars until he brought out a bloody letter, which proved his point. It was revealed that Koketia had connections with a prison mate named Andre Pinder, which made Riley's statement more concrete. Yathomas Riley was bailed out of Metro West Detention Center, Miami, United States on August 17, 2012.

Lisa Amodio, the medical practitioner whom Yathomas Riley met in the boxing gym in Bronx, was one of the very few members, who supported him after his release. They eventually got into a relationship, and Yathomas asked her to be his cutman during his fights after his release.

She started visiting him during his matches, and soon they together bought a house, in Leesburg. The couple eventually had a child together, named Giuseppi, and soon the relationship started to deteriorate. As per The Cauldron, Yathomas would frequently visit Lisa's hospital, and accuse her of having an affair with another man and assault her.

In the middle of June 2015, Lisa was reported as calling 911, for her husband was threatening to shoot her in the head. With some days of incarceration, Yathomas was dismissed, however, this would result in a more grave crime. As per the Miami New Times article, it was on July 20, 2015, Yathomas Riley was charged with the murder of Lisa Amodio.

As per The Cauldron article, it was around 8:30 in the morning, when Yathomas called 911 emergency. He said that after getting home from out of town, he found his wife unresponsive, oozing blood. Upon interrogation, Yathomas Riley claimed that Lisa had shot herself.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called up to solve the case, and soon they discovered that it was a murder rather than a suicide. Lisa's father testified that something like this was expected from Yathomas. He was soon arrested and upon a search warrant, multiple guns were retrieved from his residence.

On June 24, 2016, Yathomas Riley was found guilty of the murder of Lisa Amodio. As per a WALB News article, published on January 25, 2016, Yathomas was charged with with assault and homicide. He was sentenced to a lifetime in prison at Hays State Prison in Trion, Georgia, additionally with 40 years, without any chance of parole.
