The Night Manager is to return to the screens after a long hiatus. The British spy thriller television series was first aired on BBC One back in February 2016, with the first season including a stellar set of actors such as Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston, and Elizabeth Debicki.
With the second season now officially confirmed for a return, The Night Manager also sees the return of familiar faces from the first season. Season 2 of Night Manager will see Tom Hiddleston reprise his role as the titular character. Joining him is the breakout star of the series Olivia Coleman.
The production team has kept the details of the plot of the upcoming season under wraps. According to reports, Georgi Banks-Davies, who is taking over from his predecessor Susanne Bier, will direct the new season.

Cast members returning to The Night Manager Season 2
The new season is yet to start its production. However, it has now been confirmed that some actors will return to reprise their roles.
Here are the cast members who have been confirmed to have reprised their roles in the upcoming season of The Night Manager:
1) Tom Hiddleston as Jonathan Pine
Hiddleston's character Jonathan Pine is the protagonist of the story. The ex-British military officer had to bring down a dangerous arms dealer. He assumed the role of the titular character and gained the trust of the dealer, getting deeply involved in the arms trade organization.
2) Olivia Colman as Angela Burr
Colman was one of the standout performers of the first season and it is a delight for fans as she will reprise her role in the second season. Her character Angela Burr is the manager of a Foreign Task Force who is after the arms dealer. She recruited Jonathan Pine to help bring down the notorious arms dealer, Richard Roper.
3) Noah Jupe as Danny Roper
The British actor Noah Jupe has played some acclaimed roles, and he is only nineteen. Known for his roles in A Quiet Place and Honey Boy, the young actor is also going to return to play Danny Roper, son of the arms dealer Richard Roper.
4) Alistair Petrie as Alexander “Sandy” Langbourne
Alistair Petrie had an interesting role in the first season, as his character Sandy Langbourne was one of the most vital assets to Richard Roper's arms dealing business. He is reprising his role in the second season, as it remains to be seen how his character develops.

The second season will also see Douglas Hodge reprise his role as Rex Mayhew and Michael Nardone return as Frisky. One of the key actors who has not yet been confirmed for a return is Hugh Laurie as the eccentric arms dealer, Richard Roper.
According to reports, Hugh Laurie is one of the executive producers of the second season, but it remains to be confirmed if he will reprise his role or not. Similarly, Deadline has reported that Elizabeth Debicki is also "unlikely to return" in the role of Richard's girlfriend/mistress Jemima "Jed" Marshall.
As per reports, the second season of Night Manager will begin production by the end of 2024. The new season will go beyond the plot of the eponymous novel by John le Carré, upon which the story is based.
