Created by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke, Outer Banks, is an action, adventure, and mystery teen drama set in the Outer Banks community of North Carolina between the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’.

Starring Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, and others, the series follows a group of teenagers who want to find the mystery behind a legendary treasure and the secret behind the disappearance of the father of their ringleader.

The group of teens are known as The Pogues and the series has received acclaim for its cinematography and direction. 1) ENFJ: John B. Routledge

John from Outer Banks is a natural ENFJ, showcasing charisma, communication skills, and enthusiasm that make him a leader of the Pogues. He has strong principles and aims to fulfill his dad's dream of finding gold. His confidence and passion inspire the group in their treasure hunt.


2) ESFP: Sarah Cameron

As an ESFP, Sarah from Outer Banks is spontaneous and ready for an adventure, no matter the risk involved. Being an ESFP, she knows how to handle people well and has a positive vibe to her that people appreciate. She also has people-pleasing tendencies, which often put her in a spot, because she does not know how to choose one over the other.


3) ESTP: JJ Maybank

JJ Maybank from Outer Banks has all the traits of an ESTP. He has a strong presence, willing to take risks, and is charismatic. He dislikes rules and often breaks them, demonstrating his impulsive nature, such as when he bought a hot tub with stolen drug money.

5) ISTJ: Pope Heyward

Like a typical ISTG, Pope from Outer Banks is dutiful and practical. He is grounded and logical and is often the voice of reason among The Pogues. It is because of sense of duty, that he wants to get the gold and clear his ancestor’s names. Even though he is adventurous, he knows his limits and knows when to be cautious and warn the group.


6) ENTJ: Topper Thornton

Topper’s personality shines through in season 2 of Outer Banks and as a true ENTJ, he is future-oriented. He decides to play the long game when it comes to being with Sarah and wants to win her back at any cost. Therefore, in a relationship, ENTJs don’t get scared of a challenge and are prepared to put in the effort to work things out with the right person.


7) INTP: Big John Routledge

Even though his character has only been seen in bits and pieces till now, Big John seems an INTP as he is a complex and intellectual person who is interested in concepts and seeking truths. In the show, Big John is heavily interested in finding out the mystery behind the treasure ad what happened to it. It will be interesting to see how his character develops further in successive seasons of Outer Banks.
