White Lies season 1 episode 4 dropped on Thursday, December 19, 2024, only on Sundance Now and AMC+ for US and Canadian viewers. The latest episode brought a new set of revelations that made Edie Hansen question everything she knew about her family and if she did the right thing years ago.
Back in White Lies season 1 episode 3, a collective effort between Detective Forty Bell, Edie Hansen, and Constable Peri Zondo saved Daniel from the kidnapping.
He's home safe, at least for now, in time for his father's memorial service. But as Edie continues to poke around to give her brother some form of justice, she stumbles into information that she doesn't know about her brother.
While looking for leads at Weber's house, Werner Weber confessed what Edie didn't know about her brother—Andrew liked to watch his wife, Olivia, having s*x with Werner and his latest wife, Nonzi.

Edie discovers something about Andrew she doesn't want to know in White Lies season 1 episode 4
Following her estranged brother's murder in the wealthy neighborhood of Bishopscourt, Edie Hansen dives into looking for justice for her brother and proving that her brother's teenage children weren't the killers.
However, in White Lies season 1 episode 4, she learns things about her brother that she wasn't so keen to know. She learned that Andrew had a kink of watching his wife have s*x with the couple next door.
Edie had been suspicious of the Webers since she saw Werner and Nonzi have s*x at the crime scene of her brother's murder, as seen in the White Lies season 1 premiere. Her suspicions only escalated after she found a love note at her brother's house.
It was addressed to Olivia, and she thought that her brother's wife had been having an affair. She also thought that Olivia was having an affair with their neighbor, Werner Weber.
In White Lies season 1 episode 4, Edie snuck into the Weber's house to try to find clues. She ended up comparing the paper used for the love note with the notebook in Werner's room, and that was how he found her.
When Werner, albeit jokingly, reprimands her for being in his room, Edie then confronts him about having an affair with Olivia. She threatened to tell Nonzi about it if he didn't confess.
The whole ordeal made Werner laugh, and he called Edie's bluff by taking her downstairs where Nonzi was. When Edie told Nonzi about her suspicions, the other woman wasn't scandalized at all. It was at that time when Werner told Edie that there were things she didn't know about her brother.

Werner was only too pleased to tell her about what he, Nonzi, Andrew, and Olivia had been up to when Andrew was still alive. He said that once a month or every six weeks, the four of them would either be at their house or Andrew's house.
They would have dinner, but after, Andrew liked to watch Werner and Nonzi have s*x with Olivia. Werner implied that it was some sort of stress reliever for Andrew or some sort of thing he could get inspiration from.
Werner also said that he wasn't the one who wrote the love note to Olivia, saying that he doesn't have any talent for poetry.

White Lies season 1 episode 4 saw Daniel confess to dealing
White Lies season 1 episode 4 kicked off with Edie following Daniel to a party where people engage in s*x and drugs openly. There, she found Daniel amongst youngsters like him using drugs, so he confronted him about it.
Edie questioned Daniel about being in that sort of party, making him remember that he was kidnapped because of owing the gang some drug money, so Daniel confessed.
He said that he wasn't using the drugs, but he was dealing them. The money he owed from the gang was an entire consignment, and he said that Pearl had taken the cash, so he had to deal some more to make out what he owed.
His confession upsets Edie, causing her to lash out at her nephew, telling him that she doesn't know him nor understand him at all. Daniel was also irritated by her and told her to get away from their lives.

Edie finds an unlikely friendship with Forty Bell in White Lies season 1 episode 4
Throughout the first three episodes of White Lies season 1, Edie Hansen and Forty Bell had been opposing figures in Andrew's murder investigation. They always butt heads, and they have a history of being against each other.
However, Forty Bell's wife wanted her husband to befriend Edie. White Lies season 1 episode 4 saw Forty's wife tell him to bring Edie something to eat, and it sparked an unlikely friendship between the two.
Just before the end of the episode, Forty and Edie were having a heart-to-heart talk where she confessed about not knowing her brother and his life before he died. She also told him something about her past, that she had a baby when she was still a teenager, but she gave it away.
During her confession, some flashbacks provided context about Edie's life—that she had her brother and his wife adopt her baby, whom she named Daniel.
