White Lies season 1 episode 7 reveals Andrew's murderer

In the last six episodes of White Lies, several people have been suspected of killing Andrew McKenzie. First, Detective Forty Bell believed that his teenage son, Daniel McKenzie, did it, as seen in the White Lies premiere.

That has since been debunked by Edie Hansen herself, and the investigation continued, with the maid Pearl's boyfriend also accused as the killer.

In White Lies episode 5, the neighbor's son, Robert, also became the suspect after a gun was found in his locker at school. However, White Lies season 1 episode 7 unveiled the real murderer, who turned out to be the security guard in the village, Morgan Witbooi.

Early in the episode, Jamie saw the masked intruder about to shoot Daniel near the pool in the security camera, so she ran to her brother's aid.

Armed with a rake, Jamie tried to defend themselves against the masked assailant, managing to hit him in his left arm. They ran away and lost him in the woods after the intruder read Edie's message that she was one minute away from the house and ran away himself.

At that point, the intruder's identity hadn't been revealed.

However, later in White Lies season 1 episode 7, Edie found out that Avi hired Morgan Witbooi as her bodyguard, so she invited him inside. There, she discovered his injured arm, and when she checked it, she remembered what the kids said about Jamie hitting the intruder with a rake.

She knew then that Morgan was the killer, and their confrontation confirmed it, with Morgan saying that he killed Andrew, but he didn't mean to hurt Olivia in the process.

Morgan Witbooi's confession about killing Andrew McKenzie in White Lies season 1 episode 7 also brought revelations about the murder plot. As Edie encouraged him to fight against Macky Hofmeyr, whom Edie thought had paid Morgan to kill Andrew, Morgan revealed that it wasn't Hofmeyr.

He told Edie that the person who hired him to kill Andrew was Andrew himself. Morgan recollected his conversation with Andrew ahead of the murder, saying that Andrew told him about being bankrupt and working with the police.

However, he said that Andrew also told him that people would always believe that he was a crook even if he worked with the police and that he was tired of everything.

Morgan further told Edie that her dead brother Andrew arranged the murder himself, that he opened the safe to make the scene look like a robbery, and that he asked Morgan to come to the house alone.

A flashback during the murder also showed Andrew coaching Morgan to shoot him in the chest, which is what ended up happening.

White Lies season 1 episode 6 teased Olivia McKenzie waking up from her coma before the episode faded to black. The improvement in her condition played out in the latest episode.

She was awake, although the doctor said that she was experiencing aphasia after being in a coma for so long, which meant she couldn't speak yet. However, she did manage to reach out to Jamie.

While the news of her recovery made both Daniel and Jamie ecstatic, the news later ended in a tragedy. While Jamie was staying with her mom, Olivia suddenly flatlined.

It turned out that she had a heart attack, which Avi later said was common for coma patients, that they would wake up and seem okay but would later experience a fatal heart attack.

Olivia's death not only devastated the kids but also saddened Robert, who fancied himself in love with Olivia.

Despite their mother's death, Daniel and Jamie still went to school because, as Jamie said, people were relying on them for the play. They had to practice because it would be opening night the following day.

However, while at practice, Jamie did something that showed her true colors—she committed an assault on the girl she said was getting in between her and Daniel.

Throughout the episode, the camera focuses on Jamie's face and her reaction whenever Greta tries to flirt with Jamie.

Although Jamie was oblivious to Greta's advances, he was aware of all her efforts. So, as she passed Greta at the stairs, she pushed the other girl down.

As Greta lay on the floor, with her head bleeding, Jamie pretended to ask what happened to her before she pulled Greta's hair and threatened her not to come between her and Daniel or she would "bleed more than [she] can f**king imagine."
