Actor and singer Gavin Creel, 48, passed away on September 30, 2024. He gained recognition for his performances on various stage musicals such as Spring Awakening and The Little Mermaid.
Publicist Matt Polk confirmed Creel's death and told Assoicated Press that the actor died at his home in Manhattan. Polk also mentioned that Creel had been battling metastatic melanotic peripheral nerve sheath sarcoma since July 2024.

"Gavin was the king of kindness and goodness and we were lucky enough to be part of his legendary career."
Furthermore, actor Josh Gad expressed grief in an Instagram post and stated that he didn't have the correct words to describe his sadness. The caption read:
"We have lost someone far too young, far too early still in his journey and far too impactful to our creative community. My heart breaks for his family and his closest friends. This is just not fair."
