The second season of Special Ops: Lioness premiered on Paramount+ on October 27, 2024, and with it brought a new set of episodes filled with thrills and action. The spy series stars Zoe Saldaña and is created by Taylor Sheridan. In the show, Saldaña plays the role of Joe, a clandestine CIA intelligence officer who leads undercover missions in the war on terror.

The concept of Special Ops: Lioness sees Saldaña's Joe build her own team that are known as 'Lionesses.' The Lionesses are an all-woman team who join Joe in the war, and one of the team members known as Bobby has become quite popular among fans of the show.

In Special Ops: Lioness, Bobby is one of the most instrumental members of Joe's team. Known for her muscular look and iconic haircut, Bobby is a QRF (Quick Response Force) operator and she provides support to the Lionesses on the ground. Portrayed by actress Jill Wagner, Bobby immediately became a fan favorite of the series.

Alongside starring in the show, Jill Wagner is also an executive producer for the show, and had a huge hand in developing the series as well.

Jill Wagner had a huge hand in developing Special Ops: Lioness

Before starring in Special Ops: Lioness, Jill Wagner was best known for being a television personality in America. Her most well-known work was when she was the host of the ABC game show called the Wipeout from 2008 to 2011, and briefly returned to it as well in 2013 for a year. She also appeared in Blade: The Series as Krista Starr and was in a few episodes of Stargate Atlantis as well.

However, now she is an executive producer for one of Paramount+'s biggest originals. Talking to Screenrant recently, Wagner shared how she came up with the idea for the show while talking to her husband one night who is from the military, and then pitched it to showrunner Taylor Sheridan as well.

"It started that night, with me asking him tons of questions about... he's in M.I., military intelligence. So, he was telling me about the women that he had worked with and his field and that they were exceptional. And then he started telling me about this group of women called Lionesses. And I was like, 'Is that real? I'd never heard of that.' It just started from there," said Wagner.

She continued,

"And the fact that I knew Taylor Sheridan from when I was in my twenties, because he was my acting coach, I don't think that was a coincidence. I think it was meant for me to have that relationship so I could bring this story to him and say, 'Look, do you want to be involved?'"

Jill Wagner says cutting her hair helped her find Bobby in Special Ops: Lioness

Jilly Wagner further also spoke about how cutting her hair helped her find Bobby in Special Ops: Lioness. The actress spoke about how they kept getting close to filming but she wasn't able to find Bobby's look through the days as she kept getting quite nervous about it. However, this then inspired her to cut her hair in order to get the look down properly.

"We were probably about a month and a half out. And, and I went to cut my hair. Then, as soon as I looked at myself in the mirror, I was like, 'There she is.' She doesn't exist with long hair," said Wagner.
