Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is set to end its run this coming Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Episode 8 of the series will bring a conclusion to the first season—and currently the only season—of the show. So far, the show has constantly been building up to the mystery of At Attin and the finale will surely reveal more about the mysterious planet and why it has been hidden from everyone else.
However, in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, only one outsider has been able to crack the mystery and discover the planet's location. It was none other than the infamous pirate Captain Tak Rennod who made a name for himself in the past by being one of the most successful pirates of his time. However, while he is never seen in the show, his presence is always felt.
First mentioned in episode 5 of the show, Tak Rennod has constantly influenced the decisions of the characters through his past escapades.
Exploring more about Captain Tak Rennod in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
In the premiere of the show, the group of Wim, Fern, Neel, and KB stumble upon a crashed ship on At Attin. Interested to see what it is, the ship activates on its own and sends the kids into space. On board, they discover the droid known as SM-33, who used to serve the previous captain of the ship, and he takes them to a pirate spaceport. There, kids discover Jod Na Nawood—a mysterious pirate.
Jod helps them escape and helps the kids find At Attin too. However, like everyone, he doesn't know where the planet is. When the group arrives on At Attin's sister planet At Acchran, SM-33 reveals that he was the one who made sure that the coordinates to At Atting wouldn't be found in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. This was done on the orders of his previous captain.
SM-33 then reveals that the infamous Captain Tak Rennod was his previous captain. The ship that they are currently on happens to be the iconic Onyx Cinder, and Rennod is the only one who knows the location of At Attin. SM-33 then reveals that the coordinates to At Attin lie in Rennod's lair on Skull Ridge Mountain.
The children and Jod then go to Skull Ridge Mountain where they come across Rennod's lair and find the treasure he has stolen over the years. A recording of Rennod is played as well where he reveals the coordinates to At Attin. He also reveals that the planet is the Old Republic Mint, meaning that it's where the currency is printed. However, not much about Rennod is known aside from this in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
