Dancer Drea Kelly started trending online after she posted a video on Instagram, featuring her alongside her partner Cisco Rosado. The clip was shared on August 17, 2024.
In Kelly's latest video, the pair was holding each other's hands and went to the top of a building to have a drink. They eventually started dancing. The caption of the new post read:
"11 years ago…who knew? Here's to 11 more and then some @cisco-rosado a king to me (you know what I'm talking about) never forget what I said that night."
Before Rosado, the choreographer had tied the knot twice in the past. Her first husband was R. Kelly, and their marriage lasted from 1996 to 2009. She married Brian McKee in 2014 and got divorced the same year.
As she recently shared a dance video with Rosado, netizens were happy and surprised to see the duo. A user even commented on the latest post that they were confused about what they exactly saw. Another person believed that the video was being recorded for a new TV show.
Notably, there are no details available on how Drea Kelly and Rosado first met, and further updates are currently awaited.
Drea Kelly's first marriage happened when she was 22 years old: Details explained
Also known as Andrea Danyell Kelly, she has been a part of different TV shows over the years. But apart from that, her personal life has also been in the headlines due to a bad experience with marriage.
On the work front, Rosado has been featured in shows such as Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood and has been the president of Mogul Media. He has collaborated with artists such as French Montana and Jim Jones as a record producer.
As mentioned, Drea Kelly first exchanged vows with former singer and record producer R. Kelly, also known as Robert Sylvester Kelly in 1996. She was working as a backup dancer for Robert's tour during the 90s when they first met.
She was 22 when the pair tied the knot and became the parents of three children. Although they split in 2009, Kelly opened up about Robert's abusive behavior on multiple occasions throughout the years.
Robert had 12 albums in his credits, starting with 12 Play in 1993. The project reached the second spot on the US Billboard 200. He continued releasing albums such as Chocolate Factory, Untitled, Write Me Back, and The Buffet. Robert's autobiography titled Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me came out in 2012.
Moreover, Robert already had a lineup of legal issues which led to the end of his career. Drea also appeared for an interview with Page Six in November 2020, saying that she was "never a wife" to Robert despite that they were married. In another conversation with ABC in November 2018, Drea recalled her relationship with Robert by saying:
"I can't say that I remember, like, when it changed for me or when it was just like, 'Oh, I think I love him.' I do remember when he said he fell in love. He said, 'I was sitting on the back of the tour bus reading the Bible.'"
Drea Kelly also addressed the time when Robert allegedly got physical with her for the first time, saying that he locked her in the bathroom due to which she had to sleep in the bathtub. She opened up about the things that triggered Robert's abusive behavior and said:
"It could be anything from the milk being too cold to the milk's not cold enough. … There's no, 'Let's talk about it,' like a regular couple. You know? No. it's his way or highway. Period."
While speaking to ABC News' Nightline in November 2018, Drea Kelly added that when a s*x tape of Robert went viral in 2002, she did not believe the accusations at first since he used to be busy with his work, including his performances.
Drea Kelly's second marriage did not last for more than two months
The Chicago, Illinois native married Brian McKee in 2014. However, they split in two months after the latter was reportedly dating Momma Dee after marrying Kelly. Drea also appeared for an interview with VH1 the same year (July) where she was questioned if there was a chance of reconciliation.
Drea Kelly replied that she was not ready to sort out her issues with Brian McKee, adding that she already suffered a lot in her first relationship. She further stated:
"When you become 40, there are just certain things you don't have room for in your life. It's nothing against Brian. What we had was real but it's time to move on. If it's meant to be, if we were meant to come back together at a later date, only God knows."
Brian McKee has also pursued a career as a singer and detailed information on his early life and career remain unknown for now. He once said in an interview that his marriage with Drea Kelly was too quick and things would have been fine if they could have dated each other for some more time.
Although Kelly has had a successful career on television, she is best known for her appearances in films such as Before I Do and Chocolate City.
