Actor José de la Torre, 37, unexpectedly passed away on December 5, 2024. Notably, his cause of death has not been confirmed until now. José was known for his performances on shows like Toy Boy, Amar es para siempre, and Serve and Protect.
While José's representative is yet to reveal more details related to his demise, he had an unknown illness since June this year and he confirmed the same through social media at the time. According to People magazine, José reportedly reduced public appearances due to health issues.
The news of José de la Torre's demise was first revealed by Montilla Digital. According to the outlet, José's funeral was organized at the Parish of San Francisco Solano on December 6, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.
Furthermore, social media platforms were flooded with tributes as soon as the news of José's death went viral. Netizens were spotted recalling his flawless work on screen over the years.
Apart from being active in the entertainment industry José de la Torre was also in touch with his fans through social media and was active on Instagram with around 460,000 followers.
According to Montilla Digital, José de la Torre was featured in a music video of singer Nena Daconte before he entered the world of television. He additionally pursued a career as a model and collaborated with various brands.

José's IMDb bio stated that he spent his childhood in Montana and later enrolled at the Higher School of Dramatic Art in Malaga. He accumulated a huge fanbase after appearing in the Netflix show Toy Boy and was able to grab important roles in other projects in the later part of his career.
Although José de la Torre frequently posted photos from various events and outdoor locations through his Instagram page, he did not share anything for around six months. He had once shared a few glimpses from his trip to the Canary Islands in June this year, where he attended the Barcelo Desalia. The caption, after being translated into English, stated:
"The happiness of arriving in the Canary Islands, seeing your friends, grab a mojito and start singing until your voice breaks. That's been Desalia 2024. And that's thanks to the team behind @ronbarcelospain who goes above and beyond every year."
In an interview with Montilla Digital, José de la Torre recalled that he used to watch a lot of movies during his childhood due to which he developed an interest in acting.
He said he was supposed to enroll in Audiovisual Sciences but decided to join the School of Dramatic Arts. He also spoke up on how he trained himself in acting as he stated:
"My training began in the field of Textual Interpretation and that is where you realize that, in this world, you have to be as versatile as possible. Perfection does not exist in this profession, but hard work, dedication and effort do. And those factors are what make the difference."
José de la Torre said that he had never appeared in any plays before he came to the School of Dramatic Arts. He also mentioned that he had a dream of making an adventure film, adding that he was attracted to different "realist characters" when he was a student, including Tennessee Williams and Arthur Miller.
De la Torre is survived by his father Antonio de la Torre Hidalgo, mother Maria Jose Delgado Espejo, and sister Marina.
