The Night Agent season 2 premiered on Netflix on January 23, 2025. Featuring 10 episodes, it centers on the former FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) embarking on his first mission after being recruited to the Night Action program.
The Night Agent season 2 features several new actors, including Keon Alexander. He plays Javad Rahmani, a counterintelligence officer for the Quds Force and head of security at the Iranian Mission in New York.
Created by Shawn Ryan, the action thriller series aired its first season on March 23, 2023, and was renewed for a third season in October 2024. The official logline of The Night Agent season 2, as per Netflix, reads:

Keon Alexander is a Canadian actor of Persian heritage. In 2010, he gained prominence with his role as Sri in the miniseries Bloodletting & Miraculous Cures. From 2015 to 2016, he played Rami Said in FX's political drama Tyrant. His roles as Marco Inaros in The Expanse and Dominick Baptiste in Impulse are among his other noteworthy television appearances.
Keon debuted with the Iranian film Circumstance, a joint production between France, Iran, and the United States, released in 2011. The film, centered around homosexuality in modern-day Iran, received the 'Audience Award: Dramatic' at the Sundance Film Festival and was named one of the '50 Best Movies of 2011' by Paste magazine.

What role does Keon Alexander play in The Night Agent season 2?
Keon Alexander plays Javad Rahmani, the head of security at the Iranian Mission in New York. His duties include protecting the Iranian ambassador to the United Nations, Abbas, as well as the mission employees. Furthermore, he is the prime antagonist in The Night Agent season 2.
In the Netflix series, Javad gets romantically involved with Noor, an assistant working at the embassy whose prime mission is to safely relocate her mother and brother from Iran to the United States. In the show's episode 7, he discovers that Noor has been spying for the FBI (in exchange for her family's safety) and plans to deport her back to Iran despite being in love with her.
It is then that Noor strikes a deal with Abbas to steal the French documents carrying the names of Iranian dissidents living in France. Although loyal to his home country, Abbas does not want these documents to reach the Iranian government as his daughter is listed among them. Javad, however, intends to use the documents to punish disloyal Iranians, who will be deported and likely face the death penalty.
When he confronts Abbas about protecting Noor, the Iranian ambassador threatens to use their romantic relationship as evidence to prove that he is working with Noor against the Iranian government. Javad is effectively neutralized after being taken away by Abbas's security team at the end of The Night Agent season 2.
