The curious case of Lori Ruff is the focus of the new episode of People Magazine Presents: Crimes of the 2010s. Lori, born Kimberly Maria McLean in Philadelphia, assumed two separate false identities before she eloped with Jon Blakely Ruff in 2004.

Kimberly Maria McLean was born on October 16, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents James and Deanne Cassidy McLean. She grew up in the Delaware Valley with her sister till her parents filed for a divorce. Deanne then married Robert Becker and gained custody of Kimberly and her sister with the new family settling down in Wyncote.
Kimberly struggled with her new family and environment while enrolling in Bishop McDevitt High School. She moved to King of Prussia, a nearby town, in 1986 and began living independently. Kimberly got hold of Becky Sue Turner's birth certificate from Bakersfield, California. As Turner had passed away in a different state from her place of birth, it made tracing her short-lived life challenging for the authorities.
