Invincible season 3 is set to premiere on February 6, 2025, on Prime Video and will continue the adventures of Mark Grayson as he fights not only dangerous villains but also his inner battles. The upcoming season will introduce many new villains from the comics and one of them happens to be Powerplex. An antagonist from the comics, he carries a major hatred for Invincible.
Powerplex's debut in Invincible season 3 was confirmed when new stills of the character were released. The still showcases him in his outfit and electric powers from the comics. In the source material, he goes by the name of Scott Duvall and hates the titular character because of the collateral damage he caused during his battle with Omni-Man.
While not much is known about Duvall's origins, he is a formidable foe of the titular hero and will be an important part of Invincible season 3.

Everything to know about Powerplex from Invincible season 3
Prior to appearing in Invincible season 3, Scott Duvall, aka Powerplex, was first seen in the Invincible comics. Created by Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley and first appearing in Invincible #59, not much is known about the character's origins. However, it is quickly established that he was born in the United States of America and carries an intense hatred for the titular character.
In the series, it is heavily implied that he used to have a sister who unfortunately died when Omni-Man was fighting Invincible, and this caused him to carry a hatred for both of them. However, he eventually got married and had a kid, but he still wanted to exact revenge on Mark. Thus, he stole some bio-therm discs to store energy for his powers.
Using his discs, he tried getting Invincible's attention but was met with Shapesmith, whom he was able to defeat. Later on, he stole more discs to become powerful and finally gained Invincible's attention when he posed his wife and child as hostages. When Invincible tried pleading with Scott to let them go, he revealed his true reasoning for hating the hero.
When Mark tried apologizing, Scott engaged in a battle with him. This eventually led to the death of his wife and child, as Scott wasn't able to control his power. He blamed Invincible for this as well. While Mark eventually defeated him, Scott still swore revenge on the hero. His story doesn't just end here, as he plays a role in the Invincible War as well.
Invincible season 3 to feature Mark's black and blue suit
Alongside the debut of Powerplex, Invincible season 3 will also be featuring Mark Grayson's iconic black and blue suit from the comics. In the comics, he dons the suit after realizing that his job as a hero is much more serious than he had thought.
The official logline for Invincible season 3 reads:
"Everything changes as Mark is forced to face his past, and his future, while discovering how much further he'll need to go to protect the people he loves."
