Chicago Med is making two new additions to the cast of season 10 of the medical drama. Actors Sarah Ramos and Darren Barnet have been roped in to feature in the long-running NBC medical drama as series regulars. Both will join as doctors on the show.
The series is an NBC medical drama that premiered in 2015 and follows the doctors and nurses of the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center's emergency ward who strive to give their best every day and save patients' lives while dealing with their own issues. The tenth season of the show is scheduled to debut in September.

Sarah Ramos will be joining the cast of Chicago Med in the role of Dr. Caitlin Lenox, a new character focused on getting Gaffney Medical into shape.
Meanwhile, Darren Barnet will be playing the role of Dr. John Frost, who is a pediatric resident with a secret. Both actors will be series regulars in the hospital drama.
Sarah Ramos
Sarah Emily Ramos is an American actor who hails from Los Angeles, California, USA.
She began her career as a child actor and is known for her television series American Dreams (2002–2005), Midnight, Texas, Winning Time, The Bear (2022) and Parenthood (2010–2015).
She has also written starred in, and directed the web series City Girl (2017), and has been in productions like Babylon, The Boy Downstairs and Ask for Jane.
Darren Barnet
Darren Barnet hails from Los Angeles, California, USA. Barnet is an actor and writer, who's known for his roles in Anyone But You (2023), Love Hard (2021), Road House and Gran Turismo (2023).
However, he's best known for his role as Paxton Hall-Yoshida in the Netflix series Never Have I Ever. Barnet has also voiced characters in the Netflix animated shows Blue Eyed Samurai, Skull Island, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory and Samurai Rabbit.
Who else is joining the cast of Chicago Med season 10?
Earlier this year, Jessy Schram, who plays Dr Hannah Asher, had teased some major changes to the cast and production in the upcoming season of the medical drama. She had told TV Insider:
"There will be some new characters coming in, and, of course, that stirs up many different characters for different reasons. But there'll be some new energy, and it'll be different from what we've seen in the past for sure."
It means there will be many surprises in store for fans. The series brings in a new showrunner, Allen MacDonald, for the upcoming season.
After working on the drama for nine years, Andrew Schneider and Diane Frolov confirmed that they will be stepping down. MacDonald will replace them as the new showrunner.
Moreover, Dominic Rains, who portrayed Dr. Crockett Marcel, has also confirmed his exit from the show. He will no longer feature as a series regular, but fans can hope for guest appearances in the future.
Chicago Med is bringing back S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Marlyne Barrett, Jessy Schram, Steven Weber and Luke Mitchell in their roles for the tenth run of the medical drama.
When is Chicago Med season 10 coming?
Chicago Med season 10 will premiere on NBC on September 25, 2024, airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT, as the first show of the One Chicago block on Wednesday nights.
The series is executive produced by Dick Wolf, Allen MacDonald, Stephen Hootstein and Peter Jankowski, with Universal Television and Wolf Entertainment as producers.
The new season will follow our favorite doctors and nurses from the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center as they encounter medical cases while navigating their set of personal issues and interpersonal relationships.
