Who were the victims of Fred and Rose West? Details explored ahead of World's Most Notorious Killers on Oxygen

Fred and Rose West were an English serial killer couple who were infamous for the murder of 12 girls over a period of three decades, from the 1960s to the late 1980s. The couple abducted young girls and women from varied places and eventually abused them sexually by rape, torture, and mutilation before disposing of their bodies.

The couple's basement playroom at their residence at 25 Cromwell Street in Gloucester, England, soon became the House of Horrors, where the victims were brutally killed and then buried beneath the cellar. Upon investigation, the authorities found dismembered body parts of nine separate women in the basement cellar and three other bodies in separate places.

All the victims of Fred and Rose West identified by the authorities included Ann McFall, Catherine Costello, Charmaine West, Lynda Gough, Carole Ann Cooper, Lucy Partington, Therese Siegenthaler, Shirley Hubbard, Juanita Mott, Shirley Anne Robinson, Alison Chambers, Heather West. In 1994, the couple was arrested and found guilty. The couple was jointly charged with killing at least ten women, especially to pay out their hardcore sexual fantasies and psychological gratification.

Fred killed himself by hanging in the prison on January 1, 1995, while Rose West received ten life sentences, which she is still serving. 1) Ann McFall

Ann McFall was the first victim of Fred West, who worked as a Nanny to take care of Fred's kids. The 18-year-old began to have an affair with Fred and was impregnated with his child. She disappeared in May 1967, and her remains were found in a field in Kempley, Gloucestershire near Fred's home village in Munch Marcle, Herefordshire.

2) Catherine Costello

Catherine Costello was Fred's ex-wife before he married Rose West. The couple married in 1963, and she became the mother to Charmaine West and Anne Marie. She separated from Fred for sexual violence and disappeared in 1971. Her remains were also found in Kempley, near the place where Ann McFall was found.

3) Charmaine West

Fred and Catherine's daughter, Charmaine, rebelled and hated her stepmother, Rose West. Fred met Rose at a bus station when she was 15 and he was 27. The couple got married in 1972, and Charmine came under the bloodlust of her stepmother. She was killed while Fred was in prison.

4) Lynda Gough

Lynda Gough was from Gloucester and worked as a dressmaker for the West family. She was 19 years old when she went missing in April 1973. She was found in a grease pit at 25 Cromwell Street, which had been converted into a bathroom.

Carole Ann Cooper was a woman from Bedfordshire who disappeared when she came to stay with her grandmother for a weekend. It was reported that she was supposed to take a bus back home on November 10, 1973, but never reached. Her remains were found in a cellar at the Horror House at 25 Cromwell Street, Gloucester, England. It was found, that she was abducted by the West while asking for a lift.

Lucy Partington was a 21-year-old woman from Saint Albans, Hertfordshire, a student at Exeter University. On December 20, 1973, she was visiting her home in Gretton, Northamptonshire for Christmas. But she disappeared while coming back from her friend's house. Police reported that similar to the previous victim, the Wests picked her up while she was waiting for a bus back home. Her dead body was also found in the cellar at 25 Cromwell Street, Gloucester, England.

12) Heather West

Heather West was the firstborn child of Fred and Rose West, who her parents murdered. She was a 16-year-old teenager in 1987 when the couple murdered her because she threatened to inform the police about her parents' secrets. Her remains were found in the garden courtyard of the West's residence. Later their other children revealed to the investigators, that the killer's couple used to threaten their kids, telling if they didn't cooperate, they would end up like their sister.
