All nine episodes of The Dragon Prince Season 6 were released on Netflix on July 26, 2024. The official synopsis of the season reads:
“As Callum and Rayla set out in search of a way to destroy Aaravos, their friends face the elf's insidious influence in both Xadia and Katolis.”
Several plot and character elements come to a head in the latest season of the animated fantasy series, and the character of Claudia plays a significant role in bringing about the same. By conducting the ritual that eventually frees Aaravos, Claudia leaves a permanent mark on the fictional history of Xadia.

Racquel Belmonte provides the voice for Claudia in The Dragon Prince
As per a Stark Times report published on November 9, 2022, Racquel Belmonte was born on September 5, 1991, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Belmonte has a B.F.A Degree in Theatre from the Canadian University.
In a Reddit AMA session several years ago, Belmonte described how she got the part in The Dragon Prince. While answering a fan, she said that the casting team wanted the voice actors to “sound/be like Phoebe” from Friends, but a version of the character who “does dark magic.”
About the voice acting process itself, the actress said the following:
“I get to use my real laugh! All of her sounds are what I would sound like if I were making those sounds. I don't have to "put on a voice" for her, so it's cool that I can really focus on the acting.”
As per the official website of The Dragon Prince, Belmonte also performs comedy with her all-female comedy troupe Nasty Women. Further, she has performed in the Vancouver International Improv Festival, the Del Close marathon in New York, at Ryan Stiles’ Upfront Theatre in Bellingham, among others.
Belmonte has worked in the television series Snowpiercer, where she appeared for an episode in 2021. She also played the role of Chelsea in the 2013 movie Heart of Dance. Apart from The Dragon Prince, she has also lent her voice in projects like Lego: Legends of Chima (2013-2014), My Little Pony (2019), among others.
Claudia plays a crucial role in the latest season
In Season 6 of the series, Claudia is seen helping Aaravos in a bid to extend her father Viren’s life since she thinks Aaravos has the power to do it. After Callum’s plan to destroy the pearl-prison containing Aaravos fails, it is found by Claudia.
Claudia starts the necessary ritual in order to free Aaravos. However, she does not have the emotional connection with him that is a must for the procedure to work. As a result, Aaravos narrates his tragic life story to Claudia.
He tells her how his daughter was snatched away from him and given a death sentence since she had brought magic to human beings. He has been living only with the motive of revenge since then.
This backstory emotionally overwhelms Claudia and she feels a connection with Aaravos. Thus, the ritual is successful and Aaravos is freed after centuries of captivity. His arrival at Xadia will have far-reaching consequences in the world of The Dragon Prince, and it has been made possible thanks to Claudia.
Will there be a The Dragon Prince Season 7?
At the 2024 San Diego Comic Con, it was announced that the animated series would return for a seventh season that would conclude the Mystery of Aaravos saga. The name of the upcoming season is Dark.
No official release date for the season is available yet. However, a mid-2025 release seems plausible given the fact that the previous three seasons of The Dragon Prince were released annually since 2022.
The Dragon Prince is currently streaming on Netflix.
