Bryshere Gray had a lineup of legal problems over the years: Charges and other details explained
The West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native has impressed the audience with his acting skills. However, he has also made headlines for his involvement in legal issues stemming from different incidents.
As mentioned, he was arrested back on July 12, 2020, on charges of domestic violence in Arizona. The police department received a call from a woman, who was Gray's wife at the time, claiming that she had been assaulted by Bryshere Gray.
While the woman's identity was not revealed, a report from Goodyear Police stated that she initially sought help at a nearby gas station and was approached by an individual, who took her to Circle K, where she called the cops. The woman was reportedly injured after being assaulted and claimed that Gray had strangled her.
Although the police officers went to arrest Gray, he did not respond and surrendered the following day. The woman was treated for her injuries, and charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct were imposed on Gray. The Canal Street star later pleaded guilty to the charges in 2021 and was sentenced to 10 days in jail.
The court had a few other orders for him, including three years of probation and a restriction from consuming alcohol. He was also restricted from contacting the victim without being permitted by the Adult Probation Department. However, Bryshere Gray reportedly violated the rules and was arrested again in November 2022.
Apart from this, Bryshere Gray was arrested in June 2019 in Chicago during a routine check in the middle of the road as he was driving his car. The police officers found that he did not have a license or insurance. Despite being charged with three misdemeanor counts, he was later released.
