After episode 6, fans will surely be anticipating a Dune: Prophecy episode 7; however, fans shouldn't expect it to come out soon. On December 22, 2024, the first season of the HBO series based on the classic sci-fi series of the same name came to an end. While it did set up future storylines, the first season of the show only had six episodes in it, meaning that there won't be another episode next Monday.
Instead, Dune: Prophecy episode 7 will premiere when the second season of the Emily Watson-starrer is released. The first season of the show sets up the second season in a huge way, and it certainly looks like fans can expect a lot from it going forward given the way it ended.
With a season 2 of the show already greenlit, fans can expect the stories of the Sisterhood, Desmond Hart, Princess Ynez, and more to continue when the show returns in a while.
What can fans expect from a Dune: Prophecy episode 7?
Going into Dune: Prophecy episode 7, fans can certainly expect a lot to happen. The ending of season 1 already teases that season 2 of the show will focus heavily on Arrakis, as that's where Valya believes the real threat lies. This is seen in her vision when it is revealed that Desmond wasn't actually given a gift by Shai-Hulud but rather had Thinking Machines implanted in him.
The mystery of the person who put the Thinking Machines into Desmond Hart still remains a mystery, but they certainly seem to be the real threat. Along with Princess Ynez and Keira Atreides, it looks like Valya's mission will continue on Arrakis. However, not only that, fans can also expect to see more scenes between Desmond and Tula as more about their history was revealed in the season finale.
In Dune: Prophecy episode 7, fans can expect to see Tula and Desmond interact more and him express his hatred towards the Sisterhood. However, talking about the Sisterhood, fans can also expect to see how them learning about Valya's true nature will change them in Dune: Prophecy episode 7. With Mother Dorotea back through Lila, it looks like she will be leading the acolytes next season.
Going back to the Imperium too, it seems as though Natalya will have more power as well on Salusa Secundus. With Emperor Javicco Corrino and Sister Francesca dead, and her having Desmond on her side, she will certainly have a claim to the throne and will lead the great houses. A release date for season 2 of the show hasn't been revealed yet.
