Agatha All Along premiered its two-episode finale on October 30, 2024, on Disney+. The finale saw Agatha Harkness, Billy Maximoff, and Jennifer Kale go on to the next set of trials that were placed for the Witches' Road, while Rio Vidal waited for her nemesis on the other side. However, as the finale brought an end to this story, fans shouldn't necessarily anticipate a season 2.

The ending of Agatha All Along does tease more adventures to come, but it doesn't do so by directly confirming a season 2. Rather, it seems to set up a spinoff that might feature Agatha in a supporting role capacity rather than a main one. Whereas in this scenario, it's Billy who might be leading his own spinoff next, as the show makes sure to prop him up as the next protagonist.

The ending of the show features the death of Agatha Harkness who returns as a ghost. With Tommy Maximoff being reincarnated, it shows her joining Billy in the quest to find his brother.

Agatha All Along's season finale teases Tommy Maximoff

In Agatha All Along's season finale, it is revealed by Rio Vidal that Tommy wasn't reincarnated in the real world and that his soul was in Billy. Agatha then made a deal with her saying that she would give Billy up to Rio if she promised to leave her alone. Rio agreed to the deal and then Agatha, Billy, and Jennifer went on to the final trial of the Witches' Road.

During the trial, Agatha told Billy the truth about Tommy and then helped him reincarnate his brother. During the reincarnation, Billy guided Tommy's soul into a boy who died after being drowned by bullies.

After the reincarnation was done, Billy was free from the trial. However, the threat of Rio Vidal still remained and she came to collect her dues as Agatha didn't give Billy up at first.

While Agatha then agreed to immediately give Billy up, he reminded her of her son Nicholas. Agatha then sacrifices herself to save Billy in the finale. However, Agatha did come back as a ghost as she didn't fully achieve an afterlife.

Why that happened still remains a mystery but it is then revealed that it was Billy who constructed the Witches' Road to find his brother. Agatha All Along then ends with Billy Maximoff teaming up with Agatha's ghost to go and find Tommy Maximoff.

Billy Maximoff could be the new protagonist of this story

So, while Agatha All Along's finale doesn't confirm a new season, it does set up Billy Maximoff to be the major player of the next chapter. Given that this show was a sequel to WandaVision, fans could expect the next chapter to be a direct sequel to this where Billy and Agatha go on a journey to find Tommy Maximoff in the world.

However, when that show will be released remains a mystery for now. As of now, Marvel Television hasn't announced any future plans regarding these characters. But given that a storyline has already been set up, fans can possibly expect something down the line in the future.
