With the latest episode leaving many plotlines unresolved, the anticipation for Dark Matter episode 10 is reaching a fever pitch. So far in the storyline, the series’ intricate narrative continued making things more complex for not only the characters but the viewers too.

Nevertheless, the uncertainty about what the future holds for Jason 1 amidst the multiversal bedlam kept the viewers hooked to the series. The series has been one of the most-watched series on Apple TV since its debut, and it has also been rated Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes at 81%, which is why there's no wonder why the hype for Dark Matter episode 10 is gradually escalating.

Given the popularity of the series and the engrossing storyline, with each week the eagerness for the next episode builds steadily. With the ninth episode ending on a surprising cliffhanger, anticipation for Dark Matter episode 10 has soared to new heights. However, much to fans' disappointment, there's no tenth episode. Dark Matter episode 10 was never on the cards

As stated above, Dark Matter episode 10 was never in the cards, and the reason is that the series was slated for a 9-episode run by Apple TV. As per the official schedule, the series made a double-header debut on May 8, 2024, and ended its run on June 26, 2024.

Although there isn’t a Dark Matter episode 10 in the lineup, the series has still left fans wondering about what comes next with an open-ended finale for season 1. Moreover, on the one hand, the confusion is due to the odd episode count, given there are not many TV series that had been slated for 9 episodes.

Despite the series ending with so many surprising twists, it has completely adapted Blake Crouch’s original novel of the same name, leaving no space for Dark Matter episode 10. However, that doesn’t mean this could be the end of the story.

With the ending teasing a potential for a sequel, Dark Matter season 2 might get green-lit. The renewal of the series is still a distant possibility, but the absence of Dark Matter episode 10 has already begun enveloping the audience in a veil of sorrow.


What happened at the end of Dark Matter episode 9?

Dark Matter episode 9 saw Jason 1, Daniella, and Charlie running away from their hometown.

However, the Dessen family didn’t know where they could find a safe haven. Suddenly, Charlie suggested his friend's beach house, which was currently empty and secluded. Still, the trio scuffled with the notion of what to do next, given there were Jasons everywhere.

After relaxing for a while, Jason 1 discovered there was a chatbox created specifically for all the Jasons who were discussing strategies and their next course of action. Elsewhere, at the Dessen’s residence, Jason 2 was tied up by one of his counterparts, who also shared the same experience as Jason 1.

After explaining the horrors he went through, Jason with the woolly hat called Blair, given the car Jason 1 took, belonged to her and could be tracked through her phone.

However, it didn’t end up good for both the wooly hat Jason as Blair countered his attacks, but was perplexed to find another Jason in the house.

After the other Jasons managed to track Jason 1, Daniella and Charlie’s hiding spot, they all started moving towards the location. The Dessen family ended up in a tight spot, but all of a sudden Jason 2 came to their rescue, offering them a getaway car containing a briefcase that consisted of forty ampules.

There was also a phone with a voice note from Jason 2. In that voice memo, he apologized for all his misdeeds and advised them to move to a different reality. Upon arriving at the Box’s location, the Dessen family was left in shock, given there was a huge crowd of Jasons waiting for them.

However, much to Jason 1, Daniella, and Charlie’s surprise, the other Jasons unanimously agreed on letting them use the Box and also told them to move to some other reality for their own safety. Jason 1 decided to let Charlie and Daniella pick the reality they wanted, given his choice would further complicate the quantum entanglement.

The final moments of the episode also saw Amanda (from Jason 2’s reality meeting Ryan (supposedly from Jason 1’s reality). It also saw other characters including Blaire 2, Leighton 1 and a version of Dawn.
