Walker has already concluded after its fourth season and this one mystery has still been pending for a long time. Back in season 2 of the acclaimed CW show, lead actress Lindsey Morgan quit the show citing "personal reasons." Since then, there has been no clarity as to why the actress left her big break behind. It also came as a massive disappointment to Walker's fans.

Finally, in her latest appearance on the I’ve Never Said This Before podcast on September 10, Lindsey Morgan revealed why she left Walker. According to the clip in the podcast, which was acquired by The Hollywood Reporter, the actress had to leave the show due to a spinal injury that also affected her nervous system. This injury allegedly caused her anxiety and stress, which interfered with her ability to do her job.

The actress explained:

"I had a spinal injury, which was affecting my nervous system and my brainstem. Up until this point, I had been manifesting. I really wanted to be a lead. I wanted to get a promotion in my career journey. When Walker came, I was the lead female. That was my dream come true."

The actress went to length to explain her own disappointment at leaving the job that she had worked very hard for and explained the personal struggle and the difficult choice she had to make.

"My anxiety was through the roof" — Walker star Lindsey Morgan breaks down her decision to quit the show

In essence, Walker was the most important role that Lindsey Morgan had taken up. Before that, she had rarely been a series regular, let alone one of the primary stars. So working in this CW reboot was a dream come true for the actress, which made her push herself beyond reason, ultimately ending up in a messy place.

Lindsey Morgan explained:

"I was really blessed and lucky that I started working and didn’t stop. But, looking back, I realized my mistake in the sense of, like an athlete, I was working, working, working, outputting, outputting, outputting, outputting, but I wasn’t recovering. All my dreams were coming true, and I was a mess. Me, personally, was not in a good place. My anxiety was through the roof."

She further elaborated:

"I was a mess. I couldn’t figure out why. I have all of this responsibility on my shoulders, and I felt like I was failing everyone — and myself."

As the actress explained, she was given a choice by her doctors. She could either continue working like she was and commit to this life-long suffering, which also included medication, or quit the work and be back on her feet. She ended up choosing the latter.

Morgan added:

"I felt a little bit like I let Jared [Padalecki] down...which I know is silly, because I was doing what I needed to do to take care of myself, and that’s more important."

So, she ended up quitting the show in its second season, ending her stint as the series regular. The show did not really have a satisfying conclusion itself either. It was canceled earlier this year, which brought forth disappointment for a lot of people.

The final episode of the famed CW show aired on June 26, 2024.
